Thanks for your comment Cathie. I normally cut my bias strips 1 1/2" wide. Piping cord is really a matter of choice but if you like a chunky binding that will be a feature, I would use 4 or 5 mm. The piping will indeed be on the inside until you turn it the cushion the right way out when it will then be on the outside. But this video doesn't show you attaching the back of the cushion.

Great, but how wide did you cut your bias strip and how many mms is the piping cord. Is there a general rule about this.

I wish I could see finished product. Wouldn't the piping be on the inside of the cushion when turned the right way out?

I'm confused... when you turn the cushion inside out/the right way round after you have done, the piping will be on the inside and you wont see it... How can i get it on the outside. i probably being stupid but it just looks that way on this video

I'm with you, maybe she went around around with the back or front on top of that piping.

These videos are in a series of six and are all available from my Time4me website. They are designed to show the 6 stages of making a cushion using 6 useful techniques. These are 1. Ribbon Ties, 2. Adding piping, 3. Adding a frill, 4. Adding a button Closure. 5. Adding a zip Closure, 6. Adding the back. So the final stage where the piping is enclosed by the back, stitched and then turned right way out to reveal the piping, is covered in video 6. Sorry for the confusion!
