That was awesome! I always thought they dropped the entire truck. But I guess you don't have too!

I'd love to see videos like this of the motor truck maintenance on S70s (as well as the U2 and PCC if possible). This is well done and really shows just how much work goes into maintaining a single Trolley car. Amazing.

Very interesting to watch this from a different part of the world. We have trams with similar bogies and we work the same way like you.

Very impressive. Here in Colorado, not only does Denver's Regional Transportation District use the SD-100s, they also use the SD-160s. RTD is ordering more SD-160s. Two of them arrived at the Mariposa Light Rail Facility that's right next to the 10th & Osage Station and saw that they were on this flatbed and then there was this orange track ramp that they used to unload the tram car onto the normal track and then prepare that car for running in. The new ones are different than the previous style. The sliding doors open and close faster and smoothly. The seats next to the second doors (that are behind the two front handicap doors) have an open space for the passengers to just get up and walk forward down the steps onto the station platform.

Fun fact. Before moving to San Diego, I worked for Siemens in Sacramento from 2006 to late 2012. I assembled SD160s for Denver, Edmonton and Calgary. I spent most of my time there installing and adjusting the doors. We have S70 models LRVs in San Diego but the door system is almost identical.

Hey Max, uhm, m suprised, this have nothing to do with coffee. :)
@mva0519886 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I've worked with light rail trains since 06. Coffee has always been something that i enjoyed every morning but has grown into a pretty sttong addiction/obsession. Me and my brother have plans to work with coffee together. So the coffee stuff is definetly coming up.
@MrGerritStok6 жыл бұрын
I think it's because of my own coffee-obsession i feld yours and Vasilli's. Still did'nt try the Yergacheff coffee. Need to go downtown for it, in an area where cars are not allowed. And i can't walk so good, (my leg was badly broken). Until that special moment i do it with my old fashion made cappuchino, which i have right now at coffee time in the evening. (21.25) Best regards from the Netherlands/Holland.
