TIMELAPSE Young Woman Builds Tiny House Herself (no experience)

With no previous experience I built my very own tiny house! I was determined to finish it in a single year, so I moved in well before it was done for a bit of extra motivation. It has been one hell of a ride but enjoyed every minute of it.
I have been living in it for the past 3 years and am always working towards a more self-sufficient lifestyle, documenting all of my challenges and triumphs along the way.
I want to share this crazy journey with you, so what better way to start than with an epic time-lapse to summarise this first building adventure.

i am curious to know about the land. if it is leased or owned. i ask because this land issue is my biggest obstacle. i don’t want landlords ever again in my life.

I'd be interested to know the answer to that too. With a few options it's best to decide which. To rent land the house should be on wheels so it can be moved. Buying land is ideal because it's yours but still may want to move down the track. I'm personally leaning towards having mine on wheels. I'm not sure what to do regarding land though.

Hiii! Greetings from Berlin! Such a cool project. I fell in love with tiny houses, but I'm still in the stage of wishful thinking. How long did it take you until you moved beyond an idea and actually started building it? And another question, what was that space, that workshop where you built your tiny house?

Hey Jessie, those are metal straps use to brace a wall against lateral forces (wind or hearth quakes for example) here they are called Lumberlock strip brace

That’s basically the same you just design your space to your lifestyle!! My friend and I have a really good saying about all of those new tiny house trends and lifestyle: trendy or precarious 🤷‍♀️?! 😂

I’m a big supporter and I’ve been watching for a while. I’m just confused. You said you’re “living alone” but most people wouldn’t describe moving in with their partner/boyfriend as “living alone”. You also said you wanted everyone to have their own room? Someone lives with your and your boyfriend? And you still consider yourself alone? Big changes are hard, I do understand that. Maybe you just didn’t explain it in the video but you didn’t really say why you wanted to move. You didn’t say one Positive thing about moving or what you were excited about…about moving. Most people have a plan and a Reason why they would move out of state. Is there more of a reason? You just don’t seem to Want to move away from your family and you only said that your bf just said one day that he wanted to move. I’m so confused.
