My old mentor said scalping doesn't work and said that having average higher losses than wins doesn't work, but he relented when he saw my 92%+ flat-to-flat green success rate. I don't see what is wrong with locking in 2-7 NQ points at a time and trailing up whenever possible, repeat 30-200x a day depending on opportunities that day.

You nailed it. If you dont have a 10m+ account you really want to be making 0.125% to 0.25% on slow days. On a big day like yesterday, or the tsla bottom, or the soxl bottom in october, you may be able to make 10% on 1 minute chart entries. But you can't take the 4% risk built on the 1m chart setup if you're flat and tilted. & ultimately dpst had two setups that did 10% yesterday.

Good to hear, b/c its what i do. Exactly on the hft/algos. Their sub second, sub milisecond. Nothing to even compete against as a retail trader using TOS lol. The sweet spot in scalps are 1-10 minutes for me. I cut losses voraciously also, been a long time since i let anything go against me more than 2 minutes, outside my stop. period.

I find scalping empowering , I find setting the right alerts is an art in it's self as it can be overwhelming with alerts popping up everywhere ...would it be possible to cover the topic of alert setting ? What are the pitfalls and misconceptions, the thinking process behind alert setting ?

As a suggestion, could you please make a video explaining your definition of Scalping on SMB? I'm learning price action trading and I might have a limited or wrong conception of it, that could be hindering my results, I've been strictly defining scalp trades as follows: -planning to exit in less than 5 bars on execution timeframe -planning for a profit target less than 2R -planning not to allow Pullbacks or Retracements on execution timeframe (trail SL tightly behind prior bar) -planning to exit if momentum stalls

@@gavnonadoroge3092 I have only been trading for a couple of years and for me I've learned that the market doesn't care about price but liquidity. If you get familiar with certain markets you can spot the HFTS moving price around to grab that liquidity only to move in the opposite direction. Heres an example the Wycoff Theory is one he called it the spring. This concept has total change the way I see the market
