I thought it was a collab with Angel Ears hence the AE? The logo on the box is from Angel Ears too. The one I like about 7hz is that, be it the Zero, Legato or this AE, they all fit my ears perfectly with their default eartips and their cables don’t seem to need replacement so in a way I find them value for money so far none of them disappoint me. Tinmeless AE is my favourite amongst planar collection yet it seems it’s not getting much love so it’s a surprise to see such review. Yeah like all planars, I find the AE sounds fuller and rounder with Topping G5.

Thanks for the great review, i agree with all the things you say. I love this iem! Using the staight bore tips inside the box improves the midrange and soundstage even further while taming the treble and bass too! I think so those tips are a must use for this iem, rather than the stock tips that it comes with.

Very good question. I like both of them and really they are quite similar. I do find the Timeless AE to be a little smoother but the A5000 to have a bit more detail. So take your pick :)

@@SuperChonk thanks man for reply ✌🏻 But you made me more confused now 😂😂 I can't believe that a single dd is performing this good??... And why is nobody else giving a5000 its deserved attention??? Like you said timeless to be more smooth that means a5000 is sort of harsh in comparison?? Or just more details??? And can you comment on soundstage for both of these?

Struggling ro choose a gaming centric IEM. My set up for gaming IEM is the EPOS GSX 1000 V2 & an Antlion Kimura mic which I will just stick the IEMS on. The GSX 1000 V2 works some magic on it's own & the Kimura mic is incredible. Everyone should check the GSX 1000 V2 review on Gagetrytech - Joe knows his shit. My current IEM's that get a thumbs up are the AFUL Performer 5 & the 7hz Legatos for a bit of heavy bass... which is good for all my music preferences & my sound preferences in general. I think the Legato's are the only$70- $100-ish I'd recommend as they scratch a certain itch incredibly well for their price - and the AFUL 5 are a great all rounder; just incredible vale for 250 but I don'tlovethem for gaming. My blacklist: Hexa (total rubbish)/Dunu Kima (not bad - jack of all trades but a master of none; life is too short for mediocrity) & the KZ PR1 Pro (which I initially enjoyed, but I have really gone off - they can't handle certain lower sub frequencies well). I am considering the Timeless AE, the KiwiEars Orchestra Lite (I know they arent known for bass, but I have heard they are absolutely superb for gaming) & am keeping an eye out for the Blessing 3 Dusk. Avoiding regular version of B3 as I need more bottom end - same reason I am not considering AFUL 8; reduced bottom end so not really an upgrade for me. Also very tempted by the Maestro Mini, although not for gaming purposes - aware the bass is fucking ridiculous. Forgot to mention I have the Simgot A500 OTW more out of curiosity then anything else.

I also considered the mini’s but I also want to use them for some competitive gaming which is why I haven’t pulled the trigger yet lol. I currently have the XENNS Top and Zetian Wu’s, I have been waiting for the Hook X to be restocked but I’m thinking about getting the AE’s instead now. My current dac is also the sound blaster x3, not sure if I should look into upgrading my dac to something like the gsx or not. Not quite sure if it’ll make a difference

@@Qui11o I got a load of pairs since I wrote this. The Maestro Mini are 10/10 if you love bass music; I love drum n bass and have for 30 years so these are absolutely unbeatable. Kiwi Ears Orchestra Lite are the ONLY IEMS I have found any good for gaming that requires imaging (which isn't just competitive FPS & I actually doubt they're good enough for that), but they're still nowhere near as good as a pair of proper headphones (I have Senn 660S2 & 800) with an external mic (Antlion Modmic 👍👍👍👍👍). I only use the GSX with IEMS (it won't drive proper headphones). Honestly for gaming you're better off saving your pennies and getting a decent pair of headphones (HD660S2 are fantastic for competitive gaming, really fun AND incredible for music/films), a decent amp (I don't have anything super fancy yet - Zen Can/Zen Dac 2 - but I may sell these & get an Atom Hevi)

@@yarbles66 I’m currently invested in the IEM culture now haha. I understand that nothing will compare to proper over the ear headphones for imaging, but I personally enjoy using IEMs now over headphones (ears don’t fatigue/overheat, easier to store and put away, etc.) I also found that while IEMs are technically worse for gaming compared to headphones, there are still some really good IEMs out there for competitive gaming. I heard the Orchestra lites are really good from the same reviewer who recommended the XENNS Top that I currently own which do really well for gaming. I’m just currently trying to find a good competitive pair that also fits my taste for sound. I typically like V-shape which is why I gave the AE’s a look. I am also looking for a more wide stage. I noticed that my Top has a really wide stage when listening to music, but my current games I play (rainbow six siege) sound somewhat narrow. I am also aware that this could be due to the sound engine of the game bc when playing other games like valorant, the sound stage feels much much wider and airier. I think both our taste in sound is pretty similar. My initial collection actually started off with trying to find IEMs that sounded like the IE 300s. I love that deep sub bass from the 300s. Had to return two pairs of them though bc of QC issues

@@Qui11o IEM 'culture'!? You've lost me 😂😂😂. I just want the best & most comfortable tools for the job, and a a pair of Senns with comfy, breathable velour Dekoni cushions are like putting your favourite slippers on (nothing like the stock pleather dumpling boilers you get with so called 'high end' gaming headsets). Far more comfy & stable than any IEMS for long gaming sessions... each to their own I guess!

I agree, the Hexa has great resolution but it's just not fun to listen to. No warmth or bass.

I’d love to see you review the KZ PR2 and compare it to other planars. I have them and they sound great. I wonder if something more expensive is an upgrade or not. (The cable is terrible so I immediately replaced it. Easy fix.)

Na.. Like him said earlier.. Try em, dun judge by the looks.. One of the most comfortable iem indeed n unique shape too (looks like small vinlys record) N u reviewer.. AE tunes kills Timeless OG vocals kings ability. Losted by new AE tunin', pretty bad Cuz 'vocals kings' n king of clarity planar) Is the Timeless priority..peace!

Both are quite technical IEMs. I do find the Timeless a little more cohesive compared to the Quintet butthat is kind of expected considering a single planar vs a quadbrid IEM.

They fit tremendous, they are shallow fit so I find using a larger tip works for me, Very light and comfortable, I have the OG version but bass EQ'd to AE, prefer the mids and treble on the OG.
