TIMELESS FENCE PROS AND CONS After 1 Year

Good information. We have the Texas black gumbo clay on our farm south of Ennis TX. I have been looking into using the timeless fence post for cross fencing while using woven field fence for the perimeter fencing as we move to raising sheep. Good luck and hope you get rain.

We drill a 3/4” pilot hole with a concrete bit and hammer drill for timeless posts in rocky areas.

Have to try that next time. I’ve shattered a few trying to drive them into rocky soil.

What size / length posts did you use? are you happy with that size? what spacing?

4.5’x1.5” posts as well as 5’x1.5 these were the shorter ones I believe and they worked well. They don’t go into rocky solids well. We’ve shattered a few of them attempting to do so. Spacing ranged between 10’-20’. Probly can go a lot wider of spacing but these were all built at our home ranch and wanted to ensure it was a good training site for our livestock so we pounded them in closer together.

@@bearfamilyfarm cool I’m moving out near San Angelo soon from Waco and am deciding if I should use electric I raise sheep strictly for horns. Cool to see your set up and to see it work in a dry rocky climate

@@trapperensor6608 electric fence is not a bad move saves a lot of initial input $ and allows you invest in net wire over time. Wish you the best on the move!
