Thoroughly enjoyed listening to this scholarly rendition/podcast of our young scholar Arjun, so thank you very much. Arjun, in his unique style, has fleshed out characters from the RAMAYANA. and the Mahabharata deeply. these very personal perspectives of Arjun certainly helps us to understand the motives behind human thought, feeling and behaviour. Therefore, listeners like me are able to not only understand characters better, but also their relevance to our own lives. I particularly like his unique, and very interesting world views on life, and living. Arjun's prolific knowledge of world culture and languages, adds great value to his work. Thanks again for sharing. And congratulations!

Arjun sir nailed it with this sentence...' that even in the most unfavorable circumstances, one must not compromise one's principles'. That seems to be the essence of the Ramayana. I do believe that while Mahabharata has a great deal of grey in most of its characters, the Ramayana also exposes milder shades of grey in all its characters... Their weaknesses and compulsions...Which makes it relatable... Waiting for the next part of this video! 🙏

Very well said Arjun sir! very beautifully explained how some characters in Ramayana had woke-like characteristics, as partially seen in Dasharatha, while some were focused on the greater good and did not forget about their worldly duties when put in dire circumstances. Thank you for this great podcast episode!

Very well narrated. There is no overlap of values of Ramayana times and today . The Venn Diagram does not even touch at the circumference. These are kaal-specific values which have no vestiges in today’s world .

This is insightful and so relatable to our current way of living. While I agree that it is super important to be rooted and be driven by the greater good, I wonder how we can incorporate a bit of personal/selfish thinking to that mindset to achieve a nice balance. We are human after all :) maybe a topic for another episode? I truly enjoyed listening to Arjun’s narration. Hope you keep creating more such content!

Thank you for highlighting the IDE(A❤)LS. The importance of Dh(a)rm(a). The (Sa🪔)cred Relationship of R(a)m(a) and Sit(a). Humbled and grateful that we are blessed with the abund(a)nce of liter(a)ture that could remind us about the noblest (a)cts of devotion and service. Importantly, to connect within.

Thanks for sharing the podcast. I am very fortunate that my father used to tell an episode of Ramayana daily and Instilled in us, that the truth will always win. When our mind is positive, we can sail skillfully instead of waiting for a longer period to live our life smoothly in the present circumstances of Kaliyuga.

According to me Rama is 'maryada purusha'; a guide to daytoday human life. There are many useful things to learn from Ramayana. But we are just happy saying "Jai SriRam" and moving away. Sometimes I think justice has not been done to Rama's character by elevating him to the position of God. People are just happy building temples for Rama, doing pooja, abhishekam, alankaram etc.

Also. I'm sure about today's SIT(A❤)! (Referring to the example of SITA making a reel on her own collaborating with the other members.) I do hope that SIT(A) would always remain SIT(A). Like even in the hardest of the circumstances, if she had to make a reel on her own. She would make that reel in the expression of her R (A❤) M (A❤) entirely.

As per today's woke Ramayan, a woman will not marry Virtuous Rama instead she will prefer to marry Ravana who has wealth and asuric flamboyance...

I suggest you Speak for yourself. A modern Indian woman is educated, articulate, independent, and talented. She knows how to navigate in the real world on her own terms. She is employed and capable of giving herself wealth, and success. If she chooses a husband, it's probably by her choice. To allow him to share her gifts of joy as her partner in.progress.

Total dissection and criticising the female characters and their motives at the start of this video.. but not a word about Dasharatha and his several blunders! 😂 He killed Shravana Kumar without checking if it was even a deer he was shooting. Married three women and expected them and all the kids to fall in line. Maharani Kausalya was living in a separate house in meditation mode, while old guy was carrying on with his youngest wife. Sri Rama taught him a lesson by actually falling in line
