Hey Janis, thanks for all the great idea looks for fall. Most are dressier than what I wear but great to know. I haven't embraced the cropped jacket or cardigan yet. I just like the look of the longer cardigan from years past. I did go to Talbots yesterday to purchase the white button up the front shirt. I had purchased online and picked up at the store so I did not try it on there. Very disappointed in it. The quality of the fabric was not good; too thin and too boxy and the buttons were very difficult to use. I remember the "old" no-iron tailored shirt from them years ago. Beautiful, thick fabric and a more tailored fit. So sorry I just wore that one out a long time ago. It just reminds me why I quit shopping at Talbots several years ago. The quality has gone way down but the prices continue to climb. I did get two long sleeve cotton tees on sale yesterday. The quality and fabric there seems to be very good. I have no use for the rest of their items. Too much polyester. I prefer quality cotton, cashmere and wool blends which are more timeless and lasting.

Janice, I’m so sorry your personal experience was different than mine with this shirt. I like this shirt so much that I bought two of them, just so I always have a newly washed/ironed one to wear. Please excuse me, but defining your natural waste line is not a good idea for you body proportions . You have a long torso compare to the length of your legs . Your best options is elevated waste line with skirts with wide belts , elevated waste line pants or dresses . You are very slim and stylish so any wide skirts with narrow waist with wide belts slightly above your natural waste will look really great !
