Oh I do love LilySilk. Quality items that are just beautiful. I always have to turn up the sleeves on my button front blouses, though. They don’t offer petites and I have short arms. BTW, adored all the outfits but particularly #3. It is so elegant and your hair reminds me of Lauren Bacall in the 40s. Beautiful. Thank you for all the work you put into your videos!

Bearsmom74, thank you so much! regarding high heels, if they are anything higher than 3 1/2 inches, I have to walk very very slowly and carefully! I will say that slingback pumps are very comfortable, I think. The strap moves with my foot up and down, so they are not restricting.

I really enjoyed this video. Janis, your hair looks so pretty down and curled on you, lovely! I love every piece you showed but my favorite has to be your red taffeta skirt it's to die for! You look beautiful in it too, what a perfect skirt for Christmas. I'm with you I love Christmas, I was so bummed I was really excited to decorate our living room for Christmas, put up the tree, etc., but we have a big brownish spot we noticed on the ceiling and had a leak evidently from a past hail storm here I guess, so now we have to wait for the painters to come and I guess it's going to be a couple of weeks from now I hope not more than that and I was not happy as I have to wait to decorate! But that's life, I just want my tree up and I'm quite unhappy by the whole ordeal. 😂 I had to quit complaining about it my husband was getting very annoyed with me. 😜 I want a blanket made of that baby cashmere it looks so soft! Your hair and makeup look beautiful here. Being a dressmaker, I have to comment on the construction of those trousers though. I'm not impressed with the visible line of stitching under the waistband - it's not a row of top stitching like on the back pockets, but looks like a row of construction stitching that should have been hidden. TheGreennblue , I have had to tweak the diet in the last two years because I ended up being or becoming (not sure which) unable to tolerate some food and skincare items long-term. So, now I am slowly bringing new items into my diet and skincare routine. For example, I now eat millet, instead of quinoa, and I no longer use coconut oil on my skin. I also have allowed myself to occasionally… Maybe once every several weeks, or once a month or two months, have a scone…which means I allow myself to sometimes have an item that has sugar in it. Or wheat. However, I don’t do this too often. I am still strict most of the time. No added sugar for the most part, no dairy, no soy. But, I will say, I am trying to be a bit more flexible and allow myself to sometimes splurge. I literally never, for 11 years, allowed myself ever to splurge on anything. And I am not sure that is good in the long run, mentally. I don’t think I actually needed to be that severely strict. When I feel I am more sure of what I can and cannot eat and use on my skin, I will share more in a video, but I really am not there yet.

I love your hair, I am going gray but from the back first. Stopped coloring the back and I wear a shoulder length bob little shorter than yours. I’m going to start letting the front go soon I figure in a year or two. I should be completely done. It’s a very interesting journey. I am 68. I think I’ll look very good with that white silver that’s in the back of my hair, I just have to get the courage to let the front go. bibigems, I see you have been subscribed to my channel for 6 years. I am so grateful. Thank you. Secondly, I must confess that I was totally ignorant about how cashmere is sourced. So, I contacted LilySilk, and I am happy to learn that LilySilk uses ethically/humanely sourced Mongolian cashmere. Mongolian goats’ woolen coats become dense during the winter to protect them from the extreme cold. As spring approaches, their coats naturally begin shedding. The traditional (and ethical) way to collect the cashmere is by gently combing the loose fur from the goats. This process is time-consuming; it takes 3-5 goats to make one cashmere sweater. According to LilySilk, this is how all of their cashmere is collected. I so appreciate you bringing up the issue. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask and I will find out what I can.
