@@JustJakesTake I know, but Bill Simmons said in Book of Basketabll: “Then he (TD) averaged a 22-12 and blocked 62 shots in 20 playoff games as the Spurs swept Cleveland in the Finals. So what happened? A French guy ( Tony Parker) stole Finals MVP honors for lighting up a particularly poor group of Cleveland point guards, averaging a 30-4.“ ”The Cleveland crew: Daniel Gibson, Damon Jones and Eric Snow, whose shooting prowess I described in 2007 by writing, "If my life were at stake and I had to pick any NBA player to miss a 20-footer that he was trying to make, or else I'd be killed, I'd pick Snow and rejoice as he bricked a set shot off the side of the rim."

Honestly I think it’s because Tim is such a quiet and humble guy. If he was more flashy and took a lot of 3s then everyone would call him the GOAT. I mean look at his resume. (5x Champion, 3x Finals MVP, 2x MVP & 15x All Star) ⬛️🐐⬜️

That’s a hard sell. He’s a great player and he played better in the big moments- but in a game of great big men he’s nowhere near the top. The problem I had with Timmy, he never settled on a position- was he a Center or was he a Forward? Depending on the matchup he could position at both, and that is where he would defer- which I knocked him for. So he’s the greatest? Why didn’t he guard Hakeem, Ewing, Shaq, or even Sabonis or Vladi? Well because Timmy was soft- and he didn’t bang. Then, you would often see him float to the 5 when great 4s of his era would match up: the Webbers, the Dirks, and the Garnetts… players, imho, far more transcendent. So it’s a tough pill for me to say, Tim Duncan- greatest player in NBA history when honestly I can’t say he’s the greatest 4 or 😂😂5?! Kidding me?

How about the timeline of the Spurs' longest-tenured dynasty by winning 5 titles in 16 or 18 seasons (1999-2014)?

I thought Kawhi would go down the same path as Timmy the humble superstar who let his work do the talking, then the whole debacle happened and I was on the fence about it even after he left. That's when instead of listening to mainstream media(SAS who has his own agenda his pushing) I did my homework. While on the spurs Khawi was trying to get strings pulled asking the team for big name star to team up with ironically Paul George(who was his last option), Russell Westbrick, and Jimmy Butler( around 1:40 mark he mentions it kzbin.info/www/bejne/nGLMc6SbjMt9Y8U ). Then you heard about how Jordan lowballed Khawi on a shoe deal ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/h3eoc6iJhKetmKM ) basically if he was on a big market team with the numbers he put up he would got the the deal. Then something that went under the radar was Uncle Dennis asking price for Kahwi services ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/qHe9cpyOaMaEaJo ). If he wanted that from the Lakers imagine what he got from the Clippers(look above). TLDR: Dennis and Khawi(not just Dennis) wanted ALOT MORE CONTROL of a sport organization and a WINNING organization like the Spurs were not going to let a superstar dictate how they do business(IMO Also why alot of superstars don't go there even though the Best Head Coach possibly ever is there(KD, Kyrie , and Lebron)).

Timmy stayed in San Antonio because Orlandos coach , Doc Rivers, wouldnt let Tims family fly on the team plane\bus. Which the Spurs allowed Duncan to do. So he decided to stay and Tracy Mcgrady , Grant Hill, Tim Duncan superteam was never formed
