7:37 Spurs gave manu his jersey number 6 (which was his number with kinder). But the Spurs fans flipped out because that was Avery Johnsons number, a beloved player in San Antonio. Manu had to change his number, so he asked for 10 (Estudiantes number). Speedy Claxton had been signed just before this and he wore the number 10, so that was a no go. Manu just said, "Screw it. I'll wear number 20 because it feels good I guess..." That's how Manu got his legendary jersey number lol.

Of their 5 championships their 1st one in '99 was probably their most dominant championship run, they went 15-2 in the playoffs that year including a 12-game winning streak that began in their opening round series & lasted until Game 3 of the Finals( they swept past the Lakers & Blazers in the 2nd & 3rd rounds, respectively ). As mentioned in the video package, they practically steamrolled their way through the '99 playoffs.

I thought Kawhi would go down the same path as Timmy the humble superstar who let his work do the talking, then the whole debacle happened and I was on the fence about it even after he left. That's when instead of listening to mainstream media(SAS who has his own agenda his pushing) I did my homework. While on the spurs Khawi was trying to get strings pulled asking the team for big name star to team up with ironically Paul George(who was his last option), Russell Westbrick, and Jimmy Butler( around 1:40 mark he mentions it kzbin.info/www/bejne/nGLMc6SbjMt9Y8U ). Then you heard about how Jordan lowballed Khawi on a shoe deal ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/h3eoc6iJhKetmKM ) basically if he was on a big market team with the numbers he put up he would got the the deal. Then something that went under the radar was Uncle Dennis asking price for Kahwi services ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/qHe9cpyOaMaEaJo ). If he wanted that from the Lakers imagine what he got from the Clippers(look above). TLDR: Dennis and Khawi(not just Dennis) wanted ALOT MORE CONTROL of a sport organization and a WINNING organization like the Spurs were not going to let a superstar dictate how they do business(IMO Also why alot of superstars don't go there even though the Best Head Coach possibly ever is there(KD, Kyrie , and Lebron)).
