@@rohangupte3545 this is the type of stuff that annoys me. When Kobe said this and folks repeat it. Firstly Kobe is like 6’6, 180 pounds. Shaq is over 7 feet and weighed like 350. Dude had 2, 3, and 4 guys jumping on him hitting him every night. It’s also different on the body running and jumping around in a 7 foot 350 pound body so Kobe is full of crap. Shaq worked hard too. He didn’t put in as much time as Kobe but still, for Kobe to say shaq didn’t work is nonsense. The problem was kobe was a child and wanted to be like Michael Jordan and couldn’t take being looked at as Scottie Pippen

@@bobbyjohnson9409 Shaq has admitted publicly he didn’t work hard in the off season. Even postponed toe surgery so he could enjoy his summer and recovered during pre season and season. 😂😂 we all love Shaq but he didn’t put in off season work.

to all y'all saying that Shaq lazy, Shaq played 19 years. Shaq also played heavy play off minutes in his first 15 seasons. let's compare to Michael Jordan who played 15 years and had two breaks (the epitome of load management). And I am a big MJ fan! yes he could have watched his diet and yes he could have done yoga or maybe trained harder. But then we wouldn't have the same Shaq. He needed to stay big to be dominant. Shaq probably benefitted from not training as hard as Kobe since he was a 300lbs guy who gets double teams and fouled and hacked

Reading these comments tells me you guys saw a different Shaquille O’Neal than I did. Dude’s career could’ve been much more than what it was. He was certainly big and strong, but look at the fact that as amazing as he could’ve been, Shaq (as the most dominant big man in the league) NEVER led the league in blocks nor rebounds. He only won ONE league MVP, as “dominant” as he was. Don’t forget that as the most dominant in the league, Shaquille O’ Neal also never won Defensive Player of the Year. From the “most dominant” player for a spell to a fuckin journeyman………………a ton of wasted potential 🤦🏾‍♂️

@@jaywarvz thanx fam. I know it’s like a rant, but ppl sing that tired old song of Shaq carrying Kobe when Kobe was a great player in his own right. Maybe that first championship is where Shaq had more of a presence than Kobe, but check the playoff and finals stats in the 01 and the 02 championships: Kobe was close to Shaq as far as output. Kobe worked his ass off the show the world what he could become. That’s why Kobe would be so pissed off at Shaq when it was time to report back to the team after the offseason……Shaq would be sloppy and out of shape. He would constantly have big toe problems to which even Phil Jackson suggested Shaq needed to lose weight. There was always something to keep Shaq from putting his best efforts out in the court. Again my bad bro👍🏾

It’s interesting people say 90s basketball was filled with no talent and plumbers but you have Shaq and penny and Kobe getting swept and gentlemen swept like there’s no tomorrow. I don’t get it.

One of the most dominant pivots of all time, but more because of strength than ability. Once he got old, his dominance was very normal. Good video, as always

But as you know the trade was made for shaq to join with Miami . It also made up his downfall , nowhere near his prime self.

Still able to win a finals mvp out of it I’d say the suns trade was the official end of his career he was a shell of his former self more fat then muscle way to heavy his knees started to give out and Cleveland shaq was just sad Celtics Shaq was the most depressing Shaq I have no doubt that if Shaq had the work ethic of Jordan or Kobe or Kareem he would have been the best player in history

It always ended badly if he wasn't overweight and tries to get in shape for later years , what might lies ahead to the 3pt revolution era.

@@TBCLINQ Shaq just never had the work ethic to learn a 3pt shot in this case it’s not really his fault big men shooting 3s back then was almost unheard of and frowned upon since it wasn’t traditional now it’s almost a requirement for the 5 to shoot
