Good old Russo. Says he wanted to give Jericho a chance in WCW....Chris was in WWE by the time Russo joined WCW. Says Sid and Tank would face off at the end of a 1hr Battle Royale when "Tank comes down at Number 30" - that's a Royal Rumble, Vinny, and heavily trademarked. You wouldn't have been able to do it. He BELIEVES his own crap...

Rikishi saying WWE tried to stop him getting over is such BS. He got a shot at the upper midcard and blew it. There's only so much dancing and stinkfaces can do. Yeah WWF would've made it because Vince let sign his top talents to inflated wrestling contracts that would force them to pay back a high part of their revenue into. Not to mention the Turner executives were trying to run WCW out for having to pay back everyone who bought '98 Halloween havoc for going over it's allowed time. Vince also was signing talent for less money than the contracts he was letting go.

Regarding the WCW merger, what a lot of people may not realize is this little thing here: In 1995, Turner and his company were talking with Time Warner on a merger. It happened around Halloween Havoc. One year later, that merger officially happened, becoming Turner-Time Warner. Fast forward to August of 1998, that was when everything changed. Listen to Eric Bischoff tell the story of when he went to a meeting, where a bunch of suits, who had NO BUSINESS being there, were telling him how HE should run WCW, and to start appealing to kids and families. Then, not too long after, that’s when AOL and Time Warner merged, becoming AOL-Time Warner. And AOL didn’t want anything to do with wrestling.
