I've been searching for morel mushrooms for years, have never found one. That morel haul spread out on the table made me whimper with jealousy. Aside from that, I enjoy foraging and this was delightful. My best haul? Seven pounds of maitake mushrooms (aka hen of the woods) from around one tree. And those were only the ones I could carry--I had to leave the rest!
