I have a feeling the first one was supposed to be a tie-breaker, but since everyone did it without breaking any eggs they decided to show it as a regular task.

There were too many “Pull the cloth without breaking or spilling” tasks in series six. At least two or three. They’re all pretty boring. And it was the first 10 episode season, I suspect they didn’t yet have enough solid tasks for a big season like that.
@iliketrains3495Ай бұрын
@@johnskrip7174 that's exactly the issue with it, they likely didn't film enough tasks so had to use a few filler ones. Although it is the series with the most tasks (most had 6 tasks an episode, when now it's strictly 5), so they probably could have cut a few of them without needing to put another in its place.
@bruceleenstra6181Ай бұрын
I am surprised that nobody pointed out that pulling the cloth sideways in the tables long direction is safer - they just did it (or didn't).

Nice touch on starting with the egg cloth task followed by Greg's "I'll kick you in the leg" threat, because I rewatched series 6 recently and after that task I thought to myself that Greg must have booted himself in the shin quite a few times over the years for all the times he voluntarily gave everyone the same score 😂

That’s so weird that they uploaded it, took it down, then reuploaded it without a relevant task. Why would they do that? That’s Orwellian. Seattle, WA here, it's crazy how much I love this show. Wish we had a US version, although I'm sure it would be less than. Either it would be commercialized, gimmicky, boarderline-dangerous, or some combination thereof. And with my luck, the taskmaster would be Jim Gaffigan and his side-kick would be Jimmy Fallon. Oh, Lord, that's the high-octane nightmare fuel.

I’d suggest giving “Unpaid Intern” here on KZbin a go. (Via KZbinr Ludwig Ahgren.) There’s only 4 contestants and they switch out each episode but I still found it quite a bit of fun. (Though I did already know most of the contestants which probably made it more enjoyable for me.) They clearly put a ton of effort into it, especially when trying to do their own thing when it comes to “tasks” and I found quite a few moments pretty damn funny. You could also try to find the short lived US version of Taskmaster. It really pales in comparison to the original (by a LOT) and several other versions from around the world (Possibly even all of them though I’ve never watched any of the non English speaking ones.) but I didn’t find it quite as horrible as most people do. Don’t get me wrong, it’s faaar from great but it has a couple of fun moments and Little Alex Horne as well.

5:30 This honestly pisses me off because, Rose and Katie wouldn't know when Ed was gonna buck, so they would still be nervous and on edge. The point of the game isn't to do with the spring at all, it's about tensely waiting for the donkey to buck. And that was still very much in the game, no matter how much they put on funny accents and played around. They still didn't know when Ed would decide to buck :D

Someone really needs to sit Greg down and explain to him that giving everyone the same number of points (whether its 0, 1, or 5) has no meaning whatsoever. "They're all great, 5 to everyone!" is exactly the same as "They're all great, 0 to everyone!" or "1,000,000 to everyone!"
@cyrilcrutzen1471Ай бұрын
The fact that Greg doesn't go for the 1,2,3,4,5 is noteworthy in itself. You'd expect to have a possibility to improve (or worsen) your position after a task. The fact that it doesnt is a curveball in itself. What IS true is that it doesnt matter if you give all of them 5, or all of them 0. But the fact that theyre all the same does have an impact on the scoring.
@DocFunkensteinАй бұрын
