"Dude, you fugly" & "I hope your apple pie was worth it" are great one liners from this one~ I liked that Dean got caught on the alias too. As soon as Meg got in that shady van, I knew she was not a friend.

There's also another facet to the Winchester dynamic at the start. Both sides that the boys were on have to do with who they are as characters. We see Dean's been with their father longer and we've seen clues that he follows their dad's orders without question because he has complete faith in his dad who he sees as a hero. Sam on the other hand, and we've seen Dean hint at this is that Sam pushed back a lot and didn't blindly do as their dad said majority of the time. We can tell after seeing Sam in these 11 episodes that he's very curious and inquisitive so he's the type to never take someone's word at face value unless he gets the whole story or hard proof. In the eighth episode about bugs Sam actually believes their father favored Dean and in his point of view the reason is because unlike Dean he didn't enjoy the hunting lifestyle and that led to a handful of conflicts where Sam wanted a normal life that went against his father's wishes. Both brothers despite loving each other have a hint of resentment for each other; in the shapeshifter episode we had a look in Dean's mind that reveals he's slightly jealous that Sam got to go and live the life he wanted while Dean out of loyalty to their father decided to stay behind with him out of pure obligation. Likewise we see Sam's anger spill out toward Dean in Asylum where he gets annoyed at Dean trying to take charge for the both of them which truly makes him feel like the little brother who has no say in anything similar to how they were growing up.
