@@adamblackedition5529 in nearly every comments section I’ve seen people use “Elden Ring” to compare against Indy’s fighting mechanics and it absolutely baffles me 😂 They’re two completely different styles of games! You can’t compare. One guy’s comment that I read said he quit playing the game because he couldn’t get past the fighting mechanics… but he’s beat Elden Ring twice allegedly, including its DLC… I was like “Ok, really dude? You beat Elden Ring twice… but you couldn’t beat this ONE specific boss fight in The Great Circle and it made you quit?” 😂😂😂 What a weird world we live in.

I was gonna write about the intricacies of combat that you've missed in the first video, but it's nice to see that you managed to discover that wonder firsthand. That being said, there are still some more things to note: 1. If you aim at an enemy's leg and use whip pull, you'll knock them off their feet instead of pulling them in for a grab. This is useful if you want to quickly devastate someone with a weapon without wanting them to fight back, as you can only use hands in the grab. 2. You can grab an enemy who's on the ground, not alerted of you, with their back towards you or enemies who've just been shoved / whip cracked. 3. You can use whip pull to pull someone down a ledge to make them fall. You can also use whip pull to pull someone high above you down to your level, with the added bonus of lowered health. With Jumbo Lasso, you've now just opened up that option for brutes too. 4. To add on to 3, whip cracks also works as a mini shove. Say you see someone stand right beside a ledge, but you're too preoccupied to shove them yourself, a whip crack at them should do the job well enough. 5. Not gameplay beneficial but the game has a dynamic pain reception system, so if you whip someone in the leg, they'll play an animation corresponding to that leg too. 6. Also not beneficial but there are different parry and counter attack animations depending on the type of weapon you or / and the enemy's holding (hands, one-handed, two-handed). Personal favorite is the one-handed on one-handed parry animation for me. There's a few more things I'd like to try, like seeing if you can do heavy attacks in grab or if Jumbo Lasso also applies to leg whip pulls. But the combat so far has been a blast. I always go back to the Vatican every now and then to wallop some blackshirt bottoms because of how good the combat feels when you get the hang of it, and I’m on Hard. Till next time. UPDATE: You *can* whip pull a brute's legs with Jumbo Lasso! You won't be able to trip them outright, but leg pull them into any kind of environment, and they tumble like a Matryoshka Doll. This is highly recommended, as brutes are the worst to deal with when it comes to damage dealing, so never play fair with these fellas. As for heavy attack during grabs, it doesn't seem probable, which is a shame.

Fun content, well done! Got this game for Christmas. Love it! I've never been a huge melee fan but it's sooo good in this game. Also a lot of fun seeing how sneaky you can be lifting things without the Nazis catching you. So much to do in this game. I'll be in it for a long time.

👏👏👏 Thanks for that. The most useful tips I've come across. Was kinda whipped (geddit? 🙄... I'll get me coat) out of the Vatican and Gizeh following the main story, and missed a lot of exploring. Just landed in Siam having been steered through the Himalayas and Shanghai, where there isn't anything off the beaten track to do, so think I'll backtrack and do some of the side stuff and partake of some fisticuffs, with a better understanding of the mechanics, before I get back to the main adventure. On a side note, was quite surprised that Indy and Gina made it from Shanghai to Siam on a tank of fuel in a beat up Zero. That's the magic of gaming I s'pose 😄

The combat is pretty fun. I am however annoyed that right click is left punch and vice versa, simply because it's not split from aim/fire and zoom/take picture. Wish these controls were seperate.
