Very interesting. I would probably just break even at best with smaller contracts, but good to know this is an option. Some of my wife's extended family own in an independent timeshare near Salt Lake, and made out like crazy during the 2002 Olympics. Definitely feel that draw to Hawaii!

I suspect you would break even too or come out a little ahead. I am still learning. The point is to have what you need when you need it. I’m evaluating if having a few extra weeks for family use makes sense. If they are not needed, then rent them out. Or rent them out so you can use the money instead on a cruise. Break even is better than the cost to convert points to a cruise 🚢.
