We FINALLY finished the custom awards and got them off to the customer. We finally have the power done for the new work stations and need to get things moved. I also need your help to find boxes and better shipping software.

The cheapest place far and away we have found for shipping boxes is actually off Amazon. most of them are prime eligible so there's no additional shipping cost. It is a bit of an Inception deal though... Paying Amazon to literally send you empty boxes lol.

I could see Uline shipping cost killing it for smaller quantities but $99 for a pallet/bale of boxes seems pretty reasonable. The shipping might also just be more expensive where you are.

For boxes, use a local corrugated converter (sheet plant) you may have to order a reasonable amount (500+) but that should work.

Check your local packaging supplier. My local company is great for boxes. Prices are great and they deliver at no cost. Sometimes same day too!

I wanted to love it but the barcode stuff never worked and support was no help.

@@ttms for box sizes you have to create the preset while in an active scan. There is a button “apply preset” which allows you to scroll down and create a hot key for a specific box size/ envelope. Once you complete that you can save the barcodes they generate for you and they are ready to use right away.

I recently made a comment on video of another creator that was talking about silk screen printing. I asked, "What is your response to people saying that screen printing will be replaced by Direct To Film transfers?" And his response was, "It's a different quality of print. Apples won't replace oranges, and vice versa." I thought it was interesting because I think that DTF and silk screening are extremely difficult to distinguish. Maybe it's just me, but the ease of DTF vs. screen printing, DTF wins.

They both have their place. Screen printing can be way faster for big orders.

@@ttms How long do estimate a screen print to take, like a full color with set up, running the shirts, drying, etc.? My in-laws ran an apparel company in Denver for years. My wife and I have done some DTF but nothing like printing it ourselves and running the shirts yet. We want to get into that, but the printer I want that I have calculated to be the most profitable is not cheap.

I have zero idea if the prices are good, but my local paper place (West Coast Paper) sells corrugated boxes. They ship free to accounts with sufficient volume. Maybe your paper place does similar? Or maybe there is someplace close enough to buy a 3 month supply (or whatever) and send a low-rent driver to pick up and deliver in a uhaul instead of shipping? Probably things you've already thought of but thought it might be worth sharing.

How much are your landed tumblers costing? I also purchased a 300 lens for my fiber to avoid the rotary and have yet to find a great setting.
