I edited a finished piece on Premiere elements 15, but cannot get either WMV or VLC to play the saved MP4 file I have tried everything. I still have a Win7 with 15 on it. It keeps demanding a new codec, which won’t work either. Can I transfer the entire project..timeline and all to a new Win10 computer with Premiere 2020?

In the pan/zoom tool...how do I ease down the zoom to a gentle stop...instead of a Hard stop?
@KrisKasprzak7 жыл бұрын
The software doesn't have an automatic way, i just add a few keypoints before the final and set those values so it creeps up on the end state.

Does anyone know how to download a video from a pixel camera to a PC so it can be edited in Premier Elements? I can get it onto the PC, but it won't load in the editing program. Thank you, Gail

Hi, Kris, Is there a way to ease....photos to start..and ease to a stop, in the pan/zoom feature? The hard starts and stops are a bit annoying.
@KrisKasprzak7 жыл бұрын
I think the only way to ease start up and stop is to add more points in the keyframe control. for example (greatly exaggerating the startup. time=0, x = 0, time = 1, x=1 time = 2 x=2, time=3, x=4, time = 5, x=8, time=6, x= 16 and so on until the x = the desired spot. This will take some time to do though.

Thanks Kris. The reason I`m watching it on a TV is because I`m editing my old home movies and adding music, etc and when the project is finished the family wants to watch it on a big screen TV. But i tried a small sample video and when I exported it to my flashdrive and put it in the TV the TV doesn`t recognize it. Is it maybe because it`s not in a MPEG? i`m not sure.
@KrisKasprzak7 жыл бұрын
I hear you, I've wanted to do the same, maybe someday i'll do that. I'm not sure why. I've been able to play MP4 vids through my smartTV (from PC via home network using DLNA) however one TV just stopped supporting that but the other works fine. In looking at Premiere right now it seems it only exports MP2--i'll have to run some tests if i can play an MP2 on my TV. WMV may be supported, at least according to Google. I'll poke around.

Hey, you lost sound in the first part. Was that meant or did something happen? It occurred right after you said folder. Returned with tip 2. I know it's an older video, however, so far, I've learned more from the older videos than I did from the new ones for my newer software.

@@KrisKasprzak So, what did we miss between 0:59 and 1:16? Did you select ALL of those files and place them on the timeline? And did all those files populate the timeline chronologically? We kinda lose the continuity, the flow, of the tutorial when that happens. Still a good vid, pal 👍
@KrisKasprzak4 жыл бұрын
@@ClaimOfRightMuso that sound problem is very weird I would never have uploaded the vid if it were broken, something must have broke it on the KZbin side. Bringing in multiple files brings will be listed in the timeline by file order. The tip here was to rename files to 01... 02... 03.... and so on, basically in the order that you want them to be in the timeline. Then they will come in the timeline in that order.

Hi, Kris: I'd like your opinion on Premiere Elements 2020. Virtually EVERY review I read HATES it. I see one star on the reviews. It seems 95% cannot even get it loaded on their Win10 computer. They talk of freezing up, moving slowly, or compromising the operation of the computer. I have been using version 15 for 3 years and never had an issue. But now since I have a new computer, I have to move up to the 2020 version, and I must say I'm freaking out from all th negative reviews. What's your take?
