Hi Richard, great review and very helpful indeed as there aren't many reviews of this model yet. There is also a sister model field *Post* solar (TW2V00200) which i am considering and got to know it is 10.5 mm thick. It would be really helpful if you can measure and mention the exact thickness of this one. cheers!

@@sachinswain3901 Hey 👋 thanks for your message and feedback! Yeah it’s a special find this watch and I think a watch that has to be specifically searched for in order to be found and appreciated. Regarding the dimensions, unfortunately I’m currently out travelling at the moment and haven’t got my callipers on me, however from sizing the watch up I think Timex’s specified head thickness of 9mm is very accurate and must be +\- 0.5mm within accuracy. I hope you are also enjoying your Timex beast 👍😎

Hey, I bought this watch about 6 weeks ago and have been enjoying it though the reason I came here is to compare the precision of the second hand. Mine is really bad, the movement ticks at irregular intervals. It ticks one and a half markers then half a marker and so on. Then between 6 and 9 o'clock it sort of hits the markers. It does different patterns with each revolution. I metioned this on the watch forum and someone suggested a loose second hand. I have contacted the retailer so will see what they say. It keeps time but is a bit concerning.

Hi, thanks for reaching out. I just checked mine and the ticks are consistent around the entire dial. Just not aligned perfectly with each indice. Based on what you described it does sound like something that could be a component issue of the second hand which will be covered under either the retailer’s or manufacturers warranty which is usually 1-2 years. I hope you get it sorted and can get back to enjoying the watch. So far it’s been great fun wearing this little gem.

Likewise, the hour hand on my instance is so close to the dial that I can't see any space between them. Hopefully it's by design.

@@drstrangebudgie4052 Hi 👋, yes I’ve seen this on another review and it seems to be its intended design.

Hi Richard, can you tell me how to get this model ticking? Mine arrived dead out the box and after 1 day on the window sill still isn't ticking (the lume works though)

@@99tomsmith Hi, thanks for reaching out 👍 that’s unusual. I would try unscrewing the crown and spinning the hands and then re screwing in the crown. If it still doesn’t work then there must be an issue. Write an email back to the retailer you bought it from with the description (or Timex directly) and they should issue you with a replacement under the warranty. I hope this helps you my friend and that you get a working one back. I would encourage you to get another one back as so far it’s been a great watch and everything I wanted in a ‘meat and potatoes’ no nonsense field watch. From my experience, quartz watches either work perfectly or not at all, therefore when you get a working one back I’m confident you’ll back A OK 👍

Does this watch make a loud tick sound?

Hi, I wanna buy a deployant clasp for this watch strap What size I need to choose?
@richard35425 ай бұрын
Hi, I ended up changing the stock strap, however I believe it tapers from 18mm down to about 15mm but I would measure it to be sure before buying the clasp.

@@richard3542 thanks brother I didn’t receive it yet And i wanna order the clasp now You think the 16mm is a good fit for it?
@richard35425 ай бұрын
@@S7M7N no worries, personally I haven’t fitted a clasp before but I would double check the dimensions with Timex and the recommendations of the clasp manufacturer to be completely sure.
