Timex Expedition Scout 40mm Review TW4B22900 - Pros and Cons, Quartz Field Watch, Indiglo Problem

I have 3 Expedition Metal's and the one with the grey dial IS the dimmest so that may be a Timex dial color selection problem. The lume on all 3 is pretty strong (on the hands and the markers) and still readable 6-7 hours after the lights go out. The scout looks more like a styling exercise than what i'd call a REAL field watch, i'd like to see a more recessed crystal, screw on back, steel case and maybe some crown protection. I'd happily pay more for a piece like that.

@@SamsWatchReview The T47012 has by far the brightest Indiglo, i mean it's too bright for eyes adjusted to a dark room, LOL. Thank goodness it has pretty good lume.

The problem is that if the caliber fails, you can't open it and break it, you have to exchange it for another machine. In Brazil there are no spare parts on the market, which is quite annoying when it happens.

Yes, sadly. Unlike Casio analogs, mostly use Miyota movement that is easier to find.

Indiglo works best on white dial variants of timex's THATS FACT !!! ... ive a black weekend offender and this exact same model and have a friend with a white dial weekender and much brighter on the white dial...it is very subjective on colour dial variants but if u need a watch to read a lot in darker conditions then just go for a scout expedition white dial variant...These scouts are awesome pieces very similar to a weekender but beefier and more durable...AND EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE ONLY 2MM BIGGER THEY give more presence on a wrist ... even the strap is decent for its price range i just prefer field watches on Natos....Great review .... Must have to your timex collection just do some research on dial colour etc before you purchase...

@@SamsWatchReview ive 3 timex with indiglo and all dark dialed so indiglo is not as bright...If u want great indiglo then i suggest a lighter coloured dial and the white cream dials are perfect for indiglo night viewing...Just my honest opinion maybe others may disagree..BATTERY condition dependant i guess..But overall you cannot go wrong with any scout theyre a good budget all rounder fielder piece...

kalau, mudahan tidak terjadi, mesinnya rusak apakah bisa diganti atau di swap dengan mesin lain ya? saya beli timex expedition Sierra mirip2 dengan yang di-review ini dari ukuran dll... soalnya puasa sekaliiii setelah pake timex expedition, g terlalu besar, look-nya sangat oke, terlihat lebih mahal dari harganya... terimakasih
