Just bought their Q 1975 day date reissue in gold plated stainless steel case. It looks amazing and got a lot of compliments with it. They were surprised that it was a Q Timex.

absolutely love this watch! the proportions are perfect, has a unique case and a dial color I would never tire of. Timex is putting out some great designs lately. i'm pleased with your giving the brand continuing love. i still have my first watch from cheldhood, a 30mm Timex from 1978 which I now wear on the underside of my wrist on a Nato for a discreet travel watch.

My dad bought me a Marlin in the 70s to encourage me to learn to learn how to tell analog time. I wanted a digital watch because the Pulsar/Hamilton digital watches were popular, and I wanted one. Now I wish I still had my old Marlin. I may have to get one of the new ones.

I am old enough to remember Timex of the time of original Q watches. They were a company back then of vertical construction methods, everything built in house. Their movements were designed to run no matter the abuse and to be simply serviced. You simply took your mechanical watch back the the watch store and for a small fee they would replace the movement and send the old functioning movement back to be soaked in cleaner and re-lubricated and then those movements when back as service movements! They also had the first low cost electric watches being Laco in Germany who were making electric movements, they then went on to simplify them to be ultra reliable. I still have 5 of them that are 50 years old and they all work perfectly. Timex was never as the ill-informed would have you believe a throw away watch. In fact the official service manuals can still be found online! Also, and this will surprise many, they made a solid gold (14k) watch with an electric movement at the end of the sixties. It is a brand with a true innovative horological history!

Wow its very nice. I bought the Falcon eye Q blue which got discontinued in 2022 or 2023 for that price especially and even generally i have never seen a dial like it. Although the material is not Rolex or GS it looks really good, the watches are pretty durable for a quartz and even the gold plated ring on the bezel has a good vintage look. I'm glad they used the blue dial on this chronograph because the falcon eye is discontinued and i wanted to buy the watch a 2nd time to keep it just incase. The bracelet to be honest is pretty bad i put it away in storage for a few months after fully sanatizing it which i due to all my watches, but when i took it out the metal on the bracelet broke apart into almost ashes sort of strange never seen that happen with "stainless steel" before luckily i just had to change to a leather strap which goes really well

Nice enough looking but I feel that the blue is a bit too electric for my taste. Unfortunately, in your video I see misaligned second hand when running the chrono. It seems that the running second hand is spot on, though. Just like a Seiko, I wouldn't buy this either. No decent QC in lining up the indicies is a non-starter - no matter the price point. That and the useless 24 hour clock.

Those micro shots show clearly why its a $185 watch. The devil is in the details and that price reflects the details suck. Sorry The lines on the hands are are all over the place. The paint is sloppy etc. As long as you understand cheap does not denote quality then by all means pick one up. And before anyone says it, yes expensive doesn't always mean quality either, but historically it does and it reflects not only in watch's, but cars, jewelry homes, land, tools etc.

What an incredibly disappointing watch; that bracelet is peak stupidity. Proprietary straps and bracelets are rarely a good idea unless its on an already iconic design. I understand you cant always rest on your laurels, but this design is awful. Its like velcro straps on your shoes. Yeah its utilitarian and probably comfortable, but you have a dressy chronograph case and dial, then boy racer linked bracelet with a proprietary system that you cant even change out without going to a custom design or modifying an existing strap (if that even works) (checked timex store, Im not seeing replacement straps or bands for this thing there). Shame for what otherwise is an exceptional time piece
