Lots of hidden bolts and stubborn connecters but with the great video you'll do fine!

Update: the “box” is called the ‘vacuum canister’. I now have one :) . Great vids :) Fantastic videos in this series. I have found them incredibly helpful. Great job! I have a question about the "box" removed at around 17:35. Mines cracked and i'm trying to order another. I lit up when I saw it being removed in the video but even the gentlemen doesn't know what its called 😅. I think he refers to it as potentially a resonator box with vacuum lines. If anyone could shed anymore light on this component - what it's called, part number, a link to new one etc I would I be very grateful. Thanks again for these videos. Have a good day all.

Just the video I was looking for. I have this to do on my TT :(

David Moralee good luck. It’s not really all that bad if you are methodical. The only really scary bit is the bolt that goes through the middle of the driveshaft cup to the gearbox. If you snap it then it’s game over so just take your time with that part. Mine was a pig to undo to the point I thought it had snapped but luckily it had just come undone all of a sudden.

I know you did this 3yrs ago now, but how did it go? I have a mk2TT and heard that there is room at the front so the radiator etc doesn’t need to be removed? I am trying to get to the manifold as it is leaking somewhere in there…

Doing this now with knowledgeable friend. Couldn't have tackled this without your great video. Doing my 2008 tt 3.2 and most all applies. Thank you!

@@farstabeachproduction2826 check this before and after part of last video kzbin.info/www/bejne/hIjLfYZ3hMqnhZY Assuming it sounds a bit like that. Your guides will be worn if so and chain is rattling a bit. My advice would be to just change the upper guides and tensioner without removing the chain and see if that fixes it. To be honest there was only one guide that was all that bad on mine and you can change it by only removing the rocker cover and upper timing chain cover. You can see the one i'm talking about here and how worn mine was kzbin.info/www/bejne/qZWthJihmK6pbck
