You don’t need anything it’s won’t fall out if that what you are worried about
Great video, but I have one piece of advice: Never re-use bolts that need to be angled. The reason for this is that the angle technique is designed to stretch the bolt to its maximum available torque without breaking. Since the bolt is stretched, when you torque and angle it again, you stretch it even further than it was stretched the first time, meaning that the bolt is much more likely to break.
@Derangedteddy9 жыл бұрын
If you replaced the bolts and forgot to mention it, I apologize for my smart-assery. At the very least, your viewers will see this and be reminded not to do it. :)

Thanks for this video.....our 2.4 is making a noise that a garage thinks is timing chain but it seems like it is coming from the center rear of the engine rather than the timing chain side....but it has to be this right? Can you say how many hours this took you? Wondering what a garage would charge....I like to do my own stuff but this one seems to be sort of rough.

Thanks. Good video. This model, with the G4KC 2,4L engine soon 10 years on roads. Tell please, you remember what run on the odometer was at this Hyundai NF. The Russian drivers have an opinion that at G4KC 2,4L engines a problem for the oil pump. Specifically in the interchamber reducing valve. This problem is expressed in oil starvation on small turns, in the 3rd cylinder. Generally with run from 180 000 and after 200 000.

They had tsb for change in oil capacity spec that addressed that issue. At Kia I fixed several of those oil pumps by cleaning debris and polishing valve. Cavitation from aftermarket oil filter run long enough will destroy the valve you speak of. Big fan of Russian Tech's you guys have good ideas.
