Dang it! I was gonna make the run over there yesterday for that exact reason, but me and my grandpa were on spades at York spit light and chasing some smaller cobia and schools of blues busting on bait, so we never did. Thankfully we didn’t because towards the end of the day we started having problems with the shifter cable and had to head in before we hit the light tower. Maybe once the new cable gets put in, the flounder will still be out there. Anyways great video Jesse!

I flounder fished for 10 years straight through the late 90's through the early 2000's and bluefish was hands down the best cut bait. Biggest fish was a 10.13 behind the second

Damn man bluefish strips! I must try it!
@alltree783 жыл бұрын
Yeap, used tip our buck tails with 5 to 8 inch strips. Its mealy so doesnt last very long but 100% was always the best if we caught a few.

Great video glad to see you catching some nice flounder, still waiting for flounder season to start in NC. Quick question have you done a over view video on your boat and can I ask how much one decked out like yours would set me back. In the market.

Nice! I moved from Cape May to Beaufort SC. Flounder fishing down here is tough, compared to being father north. I catch them, but 16” is the size limit and most seem to be 12-14. Maybe I’ll drag my boat up to the Chesapeake for a long weekend. Driving back and forth while building my new home…….crossing that bridge always made me dream! There is a launch area on that fisherman island, right? Thanks. 👍

That is not dropper loop...but a surgeon's loop
@noahjohns79543 жыл бұрын
Yes you are correct but it’s still a dropper/bottom rig. I prefer dropper loops over surgeons loops for any type of fish.
@SouthernReelsFishing3 жыл бұрын
I used to be particular over such things. But after years of fishing I have found that it doesn't matter how you tie the loop. In the end a loop is a loop, and a surgeon loop is quicker and easier to tie than a dropper loop and performs the same. It's not like a fish swims up and says "Oh wait, he tied that wrong" 😂
