I feel like this is a misrepresentation of the town. I live here and yes, it is a bit boring and sleepy, but you only showed the run down communities, not the beautiful old homes surrounding the lake or nicer neighborhoods. The town is ripped up right now due to a revitalization project and will be beautiful when completed. Lake Wales is experiencing a huge population explosion so it will be a different place in a year or two. Please come back then and document the difference.

Thank you for sharing your perspective! In the video, I did mention the town's remodel and how great it will look once completed. Most of the areas I drove through, including those near the lake, had a similar vibe. To me, that doesn’t make Lake Wales look bad, it adds to its old historic charm. I’ll definitely update my viewers once the renovations are finished!

Lake Wales is a nice place. I spent the night there a year ago to check out the Tower. It has a very nice ballpark for the kids just off the lake as well. I know, you can't get it all! I look forward to viewing your other stuff.

Used to be a really nice town back in the day. The economic hardship is real for people out there. Plus the towns biggest industry, the oranges, is struggling as the crops are dying to disease out there. If I could recommend it, I would check out Arcadia. I've been there once. Definitely an old Florida vibe there.

Lake Wales has changed alot over the years. The one street that you drove down on Lincoln avenue several businesses down on that street including a cab stand laundromat a liquor store a pharmacist grocery store a restaurant or pool room a vegetable stand off to one of the sides the American legion they had the elks was down off of b Street it was a whole lot to do years ago this little town was a vibe all by itself years ago I've been here almost 60 years grew up here

Lake Wales is the the highest point in peninsular Florida. The highest point in Florida is Britton Hill in the panhandle

You gave a tour of the projects in the beginning and Unfortunately the projects are located. Near the downtown so it has brought the town a bad rap...ive lived here 20 years and is a big town with a lot of history and rural agricultural and lakes Quiet wnd country

A 50 minute video and no video of the Lake that the town is made of, the parks, the historic churches,the homes along the South or East part of town. I agree this is a misreprented video of the town. Oh and the South is the safer side of town, not the North side. Also, you should have stayed around on Monday when the town is alive.

I passed by Lake Wales on my to Tampa Bay area. Looks boring as hell. I would consider Bartow, FL, only 20 minutes away and closer to Lakeland and Tampa and looks less boring.
