The problem is that their an invasive species on the east coast, some brought over by fox hunters. And now their harming actual native species, farm animals and pets in the east. Thats why they have the killing contests as a way to invoke pest control

Thanks Timmy for your channel. As an ex-timber wolf dad/caregiver/rescuer myself, and you with your coyote, we are proving to people that these animals can in fact be rescued, raised, and partly or fully domesticated. Maybe this might sound a bit over-zealous. But let's blow away the myths and fears about animals that intermingle with human communities. Although I no longer have Kody (he lived to be 17 years old) I currently have a lot of other uncommon "pets" that people are normally afraid of. A raccoon, an opossum, 2 squirrels, an albino skunk (no scent gland), and several other mustelids like ferrets, otters, and a badger. If I ever get a big enough property again, I might go back to having other canines (other than dogs) as well as the wolverine (the largest mustelid) I never had. I can only dream.....

I've always believed that wolverines are extremely vicious. Do you really think that you could domesticate a wolverine? Please respond. Personally I would feel so privileged to have an otter. There are so many animals that die prematurely because as babies the mother's been killed & the little ones are too young to survive w/o the mom. 😢

@@elbmcook I have already befriended a wolverine owned by someone else. It can be vicious if it is already grown and exposed to the wild already. But I’m talking about raising one from birth, where you are in full control of its behaviour and what it’s exposed to. That is basically how my friend did it, and he raised it like a big ferret, which it what it’s directly related to. Yes, I agree I wouldn’t take a chance at trying to raise a wolverine that has already grown into It’s natural behaviour traits. That would be tricky.

You can just see it in her eyes and her actions, she sometimes thinks: "Shoot and heck, as a forest pup ida never figured myself for the loving adoptive mother, but I am shore am fond of this mutated lil coyote, and I can't deny this is a comfy life with appreciation, food, and safety!" That Coyote is an example of how we got dogs like Duck. Maybe 100,000 years ago a wolf dared to approach a human camp for scraps and they eventually became our blood brothers and made us invincible against all other animal species on earth. The two best pack hunters joined together were unbeatable.Those who are lucky enough to own a dog thank the wolf inside of them who helped give us dominion over this world. And yes somewhere inside of your dog no matter the breed that long ago wolf lives.

@@timmc1269u yes. I found her when she was probably close to 3 months, in heavy trapping area. Vet said her mom was probably trapped. She never had any medical problems. I gave her chicken often 😋 She was a great companion and when I traveled, I wasn't afraid of anything, she was a fierce watch dog. Super smart she was. Yes your Weaver should stay with you at least to 15 and longer provide health hangs on. 🤗💗
