You want me to get a 5th Gen 4Runner, because this is how you get me to buy a 5th Gen 4Runner

We're slowly branching out to other Gens and at some point other model Toyota trucks and SUVS. We will never be done wrenching on 3rd Gens but mixing it up a bit would be good.

Hey Timmy, I threw 4 rods in my 5vz. First off, is that a record? Second off, I’m thinking about a 7mge out of a mk3 non turbo Supra. I may run that with the Supra transmission and a divorced manual shift transfer case and do a manual hub conversion (to simplify electronics (I have all the fancy 2001 stuff) I also have access to a 1uz, 2uz, and 2jz but with all of the modern electronics I think that would be difficult and I am trying to have a manual transmission. I have a 4wd w series (56?) transmission and I also have the jeep XJ transmissions which are very similar. But I don’t want to use jeep parts in my toyota😂 but what do you think I should do? Oh and I work in a junkyard that’s why I have so many parts.

Hey Thomas, I'm far from an authority on engine swaps. The only one I have experience with was the one I filmed for my friend Mikey. Mikey and his friend Wes were the brains behind the operation and I just documented it. So sorry Bro, I'm not going to be much help to you.

Hey Mike, you have to live local and have a job we haven't filmed yet. We are located in San Jose, California. We don't do every job that comes our way but we do a pretty good percentage of them.

@@michaellee4965 Send me a link to the bumper you got and any available installation instructions they offer. If you know of a KZbin video showing the install, send me a link to that as well. It all depends how involved it looks and how long you're willing to wait to get it installed. The videos turn out better when Sean and I are both there and it sometimes can take a while for us to get together. You can email me: mtbtim@sbcglobal.net

What's up with all the annoying adds?? Damn.
@TimmyTheToolman5 жыл бұрын
We recently decided to authorize all ads on our videos to increase ad revenue. We figured people could deal with the ads if it meant they got a quality video tutorial they could use to do the job themselves and save a ton of money not having to rely on a shop to do the work for them. So, while I do agree with you that these ads can be annoying, do you think we should be providing these videos with zero compensation? The ads don't cost the viewer anything other than a tiny bit of their time. The money we make is paid by the advertisers through Google and we get a cut of the proceeds. So, let me put this in perspective for you. This video series took Garett and I over 2 full days to film. The editing on my part and Sean's part probably took another 20+ hours. We started this channel to help people but we're not saints either. The money we make helps fund tool purchases, upgrades to our camera equipment, funding subscriber parties and just putting some money in our pockets for our efforts. Do we feel guilty for making some money for our hard work? Absolutely not. We work our asses off to provide videos for people to use. I don't know what percentage of people actually take the time to comment and thank us for our efforts to create the video they just used to save themselves a ton of money, but I'm guessing it's pretty low. Luckily there are enough who take the time to thank us and share their success stories with us and these people help fuel our desire to keep making videos. Maybe one day the money we make will sufficiently compensate us for the time we put into this channel, but for the 3.5 years we've been doing this, we're still no where close to being compensated for the enormous time we put in. So, sorry you have found the ads annoying. But, next time instead of complaining about the ads a KZbinr has on their channel, maybe instead thank them for their hard efforts to put out the content you've benefited from.
