Neil, your interview style is so refreshing. As a stellar bikepacker yourself, you do an impressive job of showcasing your guests rather than yourself. There are so many podcasts and KZbin interviewers with racing backgrounds that use their guests as a platform to talk about themselves, but you keep the conversation centered on the guest. I actually find myself wishing you would talk more about your own experiences sometimes, but I guess you can't have it both ways. :-) Anyway, keep up the good work. Your gear videos and interviews are really high quality work!

That means a lot, Ben. It's important for me to highlight the accomplishment of these rides, I talk plenty in my other videos :)

Timon should be on the Trainerroad Successful Athletes podcast! I'm dying for more bikepacking/endurance content there. :)

Neil, thanks for taking the time and making videos. I have a fondness for the AZT300 and made it a victory lap for completing my cancer treatments. Amazing times out on the trail. Keep up the amazing work and sharing what you love.

Ha ha! 39:20 "My throat was like super dry and I could barely talk anymore"....Who the hell was he talking to? Super fun to hear some stories from Timon. He's a badass. He's a Mt. Taylor Quad winner. I also heard he did a sub 9 hour Ironman the week before his first CTR attempt. I hear that his mom is a badass living in a cabin off of Sand Flats Rd. above Moab.

Timon is my brother! That Ironman was his first; I remember laughing so hard when he finished it (placing so well he was granted pro status) only to turn around and do the CTR the next week. He's a machine.

Really enjoying this content, Neil! But if I could offer one suggestion/observation... During the talking head portion of these videos, I quickly noticed the constant zoom-in, zoom-out, zoom-in, zoom-out editing and I find it to be pretty distracting. To me, it doesn't seem to add much value to the video as a whole and it may be cleaner leaving that effect alone. It's also easier when it comes to editing too ;) Just something I noticed. Overall, these videos are stellar man. Keep it up!

Neil, do you experience knee or joint pain when riding hard?

I did a bunch when I was first starting but my body has adapted over the years. Yoga, stretching and training has really helped me.
