The CTA just announced they are buying 20 Proterra Battery Electric busses! I can’t wait to start riding on them!
@dangelohartley59776 жыл бұрын
Luke Starkenburg Is this even true? I've always wondered about these buses. Do you know when they'll have these buses in service?
@Luke_Starkenburg6 жыл бұрын
D'Angelo Hartley from a very recent news article... “CTA expects to begin receiving the first buses by the end of 2018, which will begin service along one of CTA’s busiest bus routes-the #66 Chicago route. The remaining buses are expected to arrive through 2020 and will be assigned to operate along the #66 and #124 Navy Pier.”
Just google search for Proterra CTA. The article is from June 14, 2018.

Impressive that you know that! Yes you are right. I loved Chicago so much that I had to revisit - but there are so many places in the world to travel and witness their transit systems so revisits are often hard to come by! :)

Those buses look a lot different than the buses in Michigan
@Mrcharles.4 жыл бұрын
Not really, with the exception of articulated buses, they’re all pretty much the same. Yes it is true that Michigan doesn’t have any novas but that’s ok.

Hello!, I am a railfan from Barcelona, and my question is, only two doors for a long articulated bus?. It´s normal in The USA?.
@gurjeetswallows67096 жыл бұрын
Yes actually, it is. It's normal in both the USA and Canada as far as I know.
@dangelohartley59776 жыл бұрын
barcelonian There are some articulated buses here is in america that have 2 or 3 doors. For example MTA New York has articulated buses from both New Flyer and Nova Bus that have 3 doors. If you have any questions about american buses feel free to ask.
