Tim is arguably and indisputably the most handsome man all over the world anytime. not only as a young man but even in his fifties .sixties and during his old age. He is a terrific combination of so many valuable significences; professionalism , talent, smartness, kindness, wit, unique voice, astonishing figure. extraordinary masculine handsomeness. No one looks as luxurious, noble ,magnificent ,decent as he does. God bless you Timothy Dalton for the postive feelings of admiration and great love that we all owe you my second to none idol.

Dalton looks good for 51 in this interview, he wouldn’t look out of place in Tomorrow Never Dies that came out that year. Only thing you would change is his hairstyle and he’d look the business. Shame he didn’t get to do the Brosnan bond films

Timothy should have been given a 3rd Bond film between 1990-1993. He was the best actor to ever play the role and while Connery helped create and nail the screen persona, presence and style of the piece, Dalton gave it much more human weight and reality. The scene in Licence to Kill where he finds Felix mauled and his wife raped and murdered, then reads that note, is the most believable and powerful expression of emotion by any Bond (for one example). I use that example also because it's a great example of how the whole story and character's motivation are set up properly. Even Craig these days just feels stiff, robotic and awkward in the role - constantly miserable and annoyed and his performance feels very affected and unnatural.

@@mr.fahrenheit1604 Both of Dalton’s outings as Bond are in my top 5 Bond films of all time. It’s a shame all the legal nonsense denied him the chance do anymore. Because another two Bond outings in 1990-93 would have endeared him to audiences.

Lookin @ Timothy Dalton in this clip he still looked good & was still in shape in his early 50s he could've done 2 more Bond movies it's just too bad there was a 5 year gap along with lawsuit after licence to kill.

In an alternate timeline, the legal bullshit never happens, Giancarlo Parretti is arrested, and Dalton would get his two more outings before Brosnan took over.

Just think if he did Goldeneye. He was all set to go, but a bunch of legal mumbo jumbo prevented him from doing it in 91, so he relinquished the role to Brosnan.

Sadly the studio who took part ownership of the franchise demanded Dalton be replaced [against the wishes of Broccoli and the rest of the actual film-makers] It's confirmed in the book 'Some Kind of Hero.' What absolute flippin barstewards !

@@ennesshay5040 Dalton said he did not want to do the film because it took so long to get underway, so he was happy to relinquish the role to Brosnan. I distinctly remember that.

@@kennethstokes5102 Yeah, that's what he supposedly said [I only remember reading it - I never saw an interview] But I think he was just being diplomatic for Cubby and Co's sake ! Checkout the book 'Some Kind of Hero - The Remarkable Story of the James Bond Films,' by Chowdhury & Field.

Dalton has said many times over the years, including quite recently, that he chose to quit the role because of the long gap after ‘Licence to Kill.’ He said Cubby wanted him back once the legal quagmire was sorted, and Dalton offered to do one more, but Cubby said “You can’t do just one after such a long gap, you would have to sign for four or five.” Dalton said he thought “No, that’s too much. That’s the rest of my life.” So it was then that he declined to return. If you look it up, the Broccoli’s even released a statement when Dalton stepped down in 1994, saying “We have only ever envisaged Timothy as the star of the next James Bond film, but we respect his decision.” All this stuff is detailed with newspaper excerpts in the excellent “Martini’s, Girls, and Guns” by Martin Sterling & Gary Morecambe, 2003.
