While I am a bit mixed on the films, I dig his performance as James Bond. I particularly enjoy how much he drew upon the novels.

If I had Tim's autograph I would keep it in a really special place. Perhaps behind bullet proof glass in a gold frame.

Next Bond movie should be about James Bond coming out of retirement starring Timothy Dalton. And yes, let’s just forget about what happened at the end of No Time to Die.

I cried with laughter watching Hawks and the beautician and the beast last week, he can play any character. Fantastic.

I watched this movie recently here on youtube. I read that the critics didn't like it, but it wasn't meant to be War and Peace or Gone With the Wind. It was a fun, silly family movie, and I enjoyed it and laughed all through it.

We certainly lost two in 91 & 93 thanks to the legal dispute and he turned down what was GoldenEye in 95 because they wanted him to commit to five movies. I still believe had they done a movie by movie deal with him like with Moore we may have got another three. Sadly they wanted a firm commitment after the long delay. I think he still remains the actor approached the most times given they first approached him to replace Sir Sean. There was rumours that the titles of the 91 & 93 movies were Property Of a Lady & Reunion With Death. I still have a photo from a film festival with a large frontage piece on a hotel with “Timothy Dalton returns as 007 in the 17th James Bond coming summer 91”.

@@RltchieIwhoever put that up must’ve been SOOOOO awkward when he realized that dalton ain’t coming back 😅

@@mohammedashian8094 considering he was contacted until 1994 & the frontage piece went up in 1990 just before pre production was about to start for the 1991 release, why would whoever was feel awkward? If it weren’t for a legal dispute between EON & MGM he would have made movies to be released in 1991 & 1993. Despite being out of contract he was offered and did consider what was to be GoldenEye but chose to walk away due to the length of time between movies & not wanting to be more than one. So in 1990 there was no reason to think that the next movie wasn’t going to be out in 1991.
