The giants are basically stage fright and fear, the kids are performing, and Stray kids are in their heads, helping them overcome it. You will see the giants disappear. It's actually a bit more complicated, but that's the just of it.

@@TimothyCurtisBeard To add to the other person's comment. Each scene represent an emotion they have when performing on stage. The clowns represent joy. The pirates represent anger. The all white clothes represent sorrow and the Mad Max looking one represents pleasure. The emotions are in conflict with each other until pleasure remains. Btw the Korean title of the song is "rak" which means pleasure but it's a play on the word, "rock" as in rock and roll. So they're rockstars bc they get pleasure (rak) out of performing.
@phylisbrown11813 ай бұрын
LALALALA It is the story of the battle of emotions within the young boys as they face their stage fright and they prepare to perform in front of their audience. These emotions are represented by not only the Chinese characters for Anger, Sorrow, Joy and Pleasure but also by the different sets. You were correct, the clowns in purple are representative of the Batman movie, The Dark Knight. Then we have Pirates of the Caribbean and Mad Max. Once an emotion is overcome the Character disappears as does the set. Eg when they overcame their Anger, the character dissolved and the bank robbery set blew up in an explosion. When Sorrow disappeared, the Character vanished and the huge foot squashed it all. So on until PLEASURE is the only emotion left. The Stage Fright is gone and the young boys get to take pleasure in performing for their audience. The moral of the story, whatever you do, don't let Anger, Sorrow or other negative emotions stop you from finding the pleasure in life. A wise man once said (Bang Chans father) whatever you choose to do in life, JUST ENJOY.

Transition KINGS. Honestly, Stray Kids are Absolutely Amazing(Raps, Vocals, Dancing), but what the directors & editors do for their MV's just takes everything to the next level. There is a 'Making film' for this MV & it is worth watching. & it wasn't multiple stages. It was one Huge set. It was really fun to watch. I LOVE this song/MV. "Rock Star" might be my favorite SKZ album. If it's not #1, it's in the top 3.
@blueyfelix65953 ай бұрын
This MV talks about all the emotions those kids felt when they are on stage, Joy, Angry, Sadness,Pleasure this last character is pronounced as ‘lack’ or ‘rak’ that sounds like rock ( they appear as the floating character in this scenes 4:58 ). It’s double meaning with pleasure and rock, that’s why the theme is rock n roll. So the different sets portrays different emotions pirates as anger (that’s why at the early part of the MV you can see pirates who are dancing with red eyes 2:40 ), clown set represents joy (they are literally playing with the clowns 3:56 ), the white set with ashes as sadness (it’s calm and sad 4:11 ) and the last with the fire is pleasure (the theme is all rock you can see guitars everywhere 5:21 ). They are all represent what is happening inside the 8 children’s minds when they are on stage. As the kids perform on stage these characters disappear one by one and are left with only pleasure 6:56 (you can see the characters in the air disappear along the way until there is only one left 1. 4:59 2. 5:44 3. 6:52). At the end you can see characters/people from all the different sets in one place aka the rock/pleasure set dancing 8:54 , representing the last emotion they felt when performing. Hope this clears it up a little more and doesn’t confuse you instead🤗

This is true, the scenes are pirates of the Caribbean/one piece, the masks are The Dark knight also mad max is referenced and there were about 150 dancers in the last scene there is a making of the music video and an intro to the album if your interested also I suggest a guild to them is so helpful. The long updated 2024 one is long but worth the time and stays would watch it with you

The video is about sort of conquering fears and just enjoying life. The monsters are the kids' stage fright in this case. Also, yes, the editors and directors for SKZ are the best in the business.

Just so you know, they also released a 20 min MV Making Film (similar to the one you watched for Chk Chk Boom) and a 10 min LALALALA [Stray Kids: Docuseries] that shows the story boarding and production side of things. It's rare that we see the behind the scenes to this extent, but I'm so glad they did. You should definitely check it out, will answer your questions from 3:23! The team behind this are seriously talented and deserve so much recognition!

So for a little bit more of context they normally have more of it on the trailers and prologues that sometimes they do... It's been a while since I watched the intro of the album so I don't remember perfectly but the giants are the fears and the Chinese characters are actually representative of some negative emotions disappearing until we only have "Rock"... I guess it was fear, happiness, maybe sadness and rock on the Chinese characters... Might me wrong but if you don't want to watch the whole intro with their explanations and the creative process, at least here is the link to the prologue of this song its only 1:20 minutes kzbin.info/www/bejne/a2OrgoKGd9mqqLMsi=oDTCkSBxePB4715d I highly recommend you to watch trailer and prologues before watching any official M/V, I used to be so confused and those help a lot with the context

For this specific music video they did a “docuseries” behind the scenes where we got even more information about the conceptual design and set creation for it than we usually do in the regular behind the scenes. Its super interesting because the whole thing is done in one location, just with multiple built sets! I think based on all your other Stray Kids reactions you would love checking it out!

The sign at the end it's I Love U in sign language. They use that sign too in Case 143. The first time I saw this clip I was so lost because it's so much information and I still didn't know that they made an introduction of what it means in a video before the mv. I also didn't notice the characters disappearing one by one, because I had to pay attention to the mv, the song and the translation. ADHD doesn't allow me to absorb everything
