G'day Tim, another great 2-part journey enjoyed thankyou. This line is included in the itinerary RTC are running in May 2023, on which I have made a booking; can't wait to see it in person. I spotted the 52-Class half hidden at the end of this trip, it is planned to use this Loco on our visit. I have just returned from Longreach (QLD) on the "Spirit of the Outback" Train. Hello Peter, this the message that disapeared, this was a really good tour even though two days were lost due to a hot weather steam ban, I'm tempted to join one of the two similar Swiss tours next year, probably the later one, I'll make my choice after I've completed the "Highlights of Germany, Harz Mountains, Saxony and Baltic Coast" & "Steam in Wolsztyn and North Western Poland" tours. The Cuba tour is still tempting, but the eye watering price is a bit off-putting. You'll enjoy the Le Coni’fer train, it's a really friendly railway, nothing is too much trouble. I hope you enjoyed the "Spirit of the Outback" and "Qantas Museum" as much as I did. As always, it's nice to hear from you and let me know when you are in the UK, maybe we can meet up again. Cheers. @@Han-wh5ie Hi, this was originally an international route between Switzerland and France, although it was eventually rendered less important with the construction of alternative routes between the two countries. The formation does look to have been built to accommodate 2 tracks, although I have no proof that a second track ever existed, maybe someone with a better knowledge of the route can fill in the missing details.
