The best bit is at 0:55. See those eyes when he comes to maul my meat!
The safari park now has a KZbin channel have a look --

While at the zoo today, a tiger bit my hand, or at least my watch. The strap broke. There was a bit of hand scratching too and you can see the marks. They are a lot stronger than kittens.
The tiger was born on June 24th 2009, so the tiger was about 3 months old.
The map location, for the zoo "Safari Lando", is precise. But I don't know how KZbin users can access the map location.

A seminar student is interested in the "experience economy" and breaking down "the 4th wall". Very important in my view, especially in Japan where (apart from zoos) there is a tendency to have a very strong 4th wall, and to expect that visitors just watch rather than participate. But Japanese zoos seem to be into breaking down the 4th wall and letting the visitors participate.
I am too old for zoos. But when I can play with a tiger like this, then even I am into zoos. It was fun. Tigers are cats, and cute, and soft bellied but their hands are are bigger and their bite, has potential.
As of September 2022, 13 years from shooting this video, only one of the three tigers shown is still alive and I am not sure which one. Her name is Tsuki. She is healthy and she has been having cubs of her own since 2020.
I don't know how the other two died. Tigers in captivity live to be 20 or so. But perhaps the males fight each other in the safari.
This super zoo is about one hour's drive from Yamaguchi City.
