Thank you for always helping local people and making the world a more beautiful place! I would like to remind you to pay attention to traffic while walking and shooting, safety first! And try to be more familiar with local money, that not only protects you, but also avoids trouble for both sides and confuses your audience! After watching this video, I think that Indonesia is a country worthy of in-depth travel! You did a really great job, thanks a lot for sharing! 👍🥰🙏

6:35 This is how life works. Who is quick, or clever, or brave, or lucky, or has previllege. So he gets it. !!! There are more than 8 billion people living on earth today. Humans continue to be created, even though the Earth also has limits!!! Some laughed, some cried, some were hungry, some were full. Why do living things continue to exist? Of course, because they continue to be made! At the same time creating these antonyms, to continue to decorate earth; Happy - sad Laugh - cry Full - hungry Life - death Predator - prey In fact, all these antonyms might no longer continue to occur, if all living creatures stopped making substitutes. The earth will be empty. there will be no more of those silly antonyms

I just want to say, in Indonesia if it's not a tourist destination city/area, on average most Indonesian people can't speak English. Their 1st language is their respective regional languages and the national language is Indonesian. Very few people can speak English unless they are in offices and shopping malls. Apart from that, you will encounter a lot of culture shocks when you first visit Indonesia. Oh yes, there is a little information, people from the West/non Asian people generally say that stomach aches caused by eating street food in Indonesia are due to food poisoning. Actually that's not the case, because your western stomach is not used to the spices in Indonesian food, we rarely get digestive disorders which westerners call due to bacteria from the food we eat. Your stomach will get used to it after a week of eating various traditional Indonesian foods.

In Indonesia you'll get a long way with a few basic phrases, and if you know how to order food and be polite. People are often very friendly and welcoming. Also, be a little careful with street food, especially things like lettuce and tomatoes. I got a bad case of food poisoning from some lettuce in Bandung. Usually things that have been cooked are okay. Teh-botol is my favorite drink.
@timtense

Yeah, I'm trying to learn some basics because English isn't widely spoken here. For streetfood I try to avoid non cooked food. Salads or cold veggies are tricky sometimes. Hope it wasn't too bad for you?

30:40 "civic education" is referred to pancasila (might be unique to Indonesia), the studies are quite abstract, but usually based on social norms & diversity within the citizen the goal is to nurture the patriotism & love to the motherland, and yes they're doing a field trip which Indonesian called "studi banding" or "study tour" 38:00 well there's museum in monas but also you could see a 360 view from the top of monument right below the golden flame 41:30 well that's the art of trading on the street, you could say "mahal", "nego" - start haggle using 25% from initial price so 40K ask for 10K from there on you will usually meet at the middle

30:43 Civics is something like maatschappijleer or burgerschapsonderwijs in Dutch, it’s an important subject for Indonesians. I assume this is an old video what with the Armed Forces’ anniversary event, so I’m sure by now you’ve realized that attempting to speak in Dutch with us is useless 😂 We do have many Dutch loan words, but they’re not pronounced the Dutch way because we’ve developed our own spelling after our independence. For example, our “gratis” doesn’t sound like the Dutch “gratis”. Instead, it sounds like the Spanish/Italian/Portuguese “gratis”. In fact, you’d have a better chance of pronouncing our words better with German spelling than Dutch. I assume you speak German as well since you’re from Belgium.

@@timtense : oke brother. Tim, sorry if my country a little bit messy. especially for those beggars who keep asking for money. i know you are very kind person but dont give them free money. also those people who asking for picture, it might be disturbed you. indonesia is one of developing country which there in Southeast Asia, So there's still a lot things that we have to fix like transportation facilities, road construction, less education, poverty and reducing unemployment. only 40% of Indonesians can speak English, so you definitely will get language barrier during your trip. i hope you can enjoy your trip in my country, enjoy the vibes and foods. anyway there will be many unexpected things also common things in indonesia that you have never seen before in another country , stay safe 👍
