Super helpful video bro, I have a 2016 A3 which doesn't come with paddle shifters. If I purchased an Audi S3 steering wheel with paddle shifters, do you think I could just swap it out for my stock A3 steering wheel and gain the benefit of paddle shifters? Let me know your thoughts, thanks so much. (I found an S3 steering wheel with paddles on Ebay for $350)

You have to make sure the wheel you buy has the exact same buttons on it (minus the paddles) or else it won’t work

Good video bro. Exactly what I was looking for. Did you lose and dash/car settings/memory when disconnecting the battery? I've heard people saying that by disconnecting from the negative terminal, you wont lose any memory.

I didn’t lose any settings if I recall as i did it within the hour, I did lose the trip distance I did which I reset anyways whenever I fill up with fuel

For the ones with stop/start button, since there’s no physical key or ignition, I assume you have to turn the wheel 90°, disconnect the battery, do one airbag clip, then reconnect, start up and turn the wheel 180°, disconnect and do the other clip? Can’t turn the wheel otherwise when there’s no power.

Nice video. Is this airbag single or dual stage? I want to install a new steering wheel exactly the same as yours, but I don't know what type of airbag I currently own. I presume the new one should be the same, no? I have the 4 spoke model on my 8V 2014.

When you turn the steering to take the first clip out and battery is disconnected. How do you turn it the other way to get second clip out ? My steering just locks

He used the key in the ignition. I have to same issue as you cause I have push to start. What you have to do is not disconnect the battery until you are ready to unplug the cable in there. After you do the first clip and turn the car on to turn the wheel the horn will honk until you turn the car off again. A bit annoying but no harm done

TW Randomz i have got the standard cruise control too standard from factory. But would like to have adaptive one.. 😉 By the way have you vag coded the ABS TPMS ? I just coded mine, have to test it out.. fingers crossed
