Tin Boat Season with Biggs! Big Smallmouth in Shallow Water!

Biggs and I are excited to get this years tin boat season underway! We decided to go up to the Holston and give it a try. It did not disappoint!!! I’m not sure just how many we caught but it was a bunch. A lot of them were over 2.5lbs too. Fun day in the skinny water. I also may have centered a rock on the way back… the Tracker held up well with just a busted drain plug!

Reminds me of the Susquehanna here in PA. Shallow but holds huge smallies & alot of them!

If you haven't tried the closer to Virginia part of that river you need to less houses and roads normally have days like that all the time ive got a 7lb 14oz on the wall I caught out of there

I fish that same stretch of river multiple times of the year! Heck of a day right there!

heading down that way to kayak fish here in about 30 min, well almost. I am goin to float the last 5 or 6 miles of the north fork of the holston all the way down to where it meets up with the south fork. Great float hope the fishing is good today the leftovers of the tropical system are pushing through today so I am hoping the change in the barometer help trigger some aggressive fish. Im going to be soak and wet but if i can catch some smallies it will be ok. Thanks for the video post its got me fired up.

Holston River Tarpon. You need try it one day fly fishing with poppers streamers or crawfish imitations. It's fun with spinning or baitcasting but crazy on a 6wgt fly rod. Appreciate video. Stay safe Ida is getting closer
