Absolutely wonderful, a recording I had not heard before. Pat Yankee was my neighbor for 34 years and how I do miss her. She was a real live wire. Both she and her beloved husband Lew were great people. Thanks for sharing this great track.

So I am 86 years old, and I have this recording. And about 1959 I was in San Francisco and heard Pat Yankee at Earthquake Magoons with the band. I later met her at the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee (She was the Empress) and had to tell her that when I was at the club someone asked Turk what had happened to Pat Yankee. He said something to the effect that she married a Spanish count and moved to Spain. I thought that is something you do not hear every day. She said that Turk could embellish things. Anyway she still had a great performance and many others and this had to be 2000, probably later. I am old, but the music never gets old.
