We rent a private dock in town and our SUV is parked really close. We park our boat and jump in our car.

We had the boat built through our friend Tyrone who knows all the builders. It cost us 1/4 of what it would cost in Canada.

Hello Canadian expats. I'm Hugue, from Brussels Belgium retired since September and already tired on paying taxes on my pension. My pension is 2300 € per month and they retain 500 € of précompte. With that money I can rent a 2 beds 2 baths flat anywhere in Panama. Having been living in tropical climates many years for my career I know I'll.enjoy the heat at sea level. Of course I want to enjoy the best coffee in Boquete. So my plan is to come this August for one month holiday and open a bank account. Then fly back to Belgium with my Panama bank details to our office des pensions then come Back to Panama and stay there for good. I'll.take the Pensionado visa and I know I'll be happy in Panama. I think I'll.stay in Bocas del Toro. Cheers Hugue

Kevin....a 21' or 24' (2010 to pres.) center consul, is there an online boat brokerage similar to Boat Trader, or are you better off traveling the Panama City and shopping marinas? Or did you get yours by word of mouth? Tight Lines!!!

Hello. I see nobody replied. I’m not a boat guy. Earlier I was thinking about it but I need soil under my feet. 😂 To your question. I did meet 2 Germans who were browsing boats online in Germany and decided to buy one in Panama. Luckily they traveled to Panama and looked actually at the boat. It was full with mold and in really bad shape. So they wasted money for the flight & hotel so they said. I’m originally from Germany that’s why we had a conversation in the hotel in Panama City. They also mentioned that they wouldn’t had taken the tour if the broker and owner would had told them the truth. It is the same with buying a car or property. Do not believe what people say online. I did hear nightmare stories about properties and cars. Hopefully the couple here in the video will give you some information about the boat market.
