If I remember this awards correctly I was about 8 when I watched this, but back then my dad recorded all the award shows on VHS so I got to watch it over and over, at the end of her performance Celine Dion stood up and screamed at the end. Like a high shrill scream, and then sat back down because she was seated near Prince Albert

this sounds like smth Celine would do ☺and I remembered that there is a video on YT with the whole show of that year and you are right! After the song, Celine claps and gives Tina thumps up extatically. It's nice and Tina deserves the appreciation.

This was a top 5 hit in Australia in 1994, then became a No. 2 hit in England a year later. Here in 1996 Tina was trying to break the America market yet by the looks of that audience, they weren't impressed. Yet it was their loss, because this is a brilliant, captivating classic.

I agree with you 100% I saw this on TV when it first aired. And it was the first time I ever saw her. I was totally blown away,, She is singing for her life here, i have NEVER seen such raw emotion like this. She starts out in this song r&b, then it goes into country and then full on hardcore rock & roll by the end and she is killing it. Meanwhile the audience looks like they are bored to tears. She should have given them 2 middle fingers before she walked off the stage, This performance was perfect, and it makes me cry every time also because you can see how committed and devoted she is to every note with her facial expressions and throwing her head around. Bravo Tina!
