I remember seeing him live at Leicester Demontford Hall back then with the MMPH (More Miles Per Hour) tour with Concorde being the back drop on the stage and on the LP cover.. I had no idea they were working together. I saw Tina too when she was 70 at the NEC. Both concerts, were amazing as you would expect.

Tina and John singing Try a Little Tenderness, was really special. Mr. Miles was a very talented musician and wrote some great songs. The classic, Music, is one of my all-time favourite songs. John will definitely be missed

I was lucky enough to see and meet John Miles when he was in Tina Turner's backing group in 1987 when thanks to Radio Clyde I won a weekend in London including the Wembley gig and we stayed in the same Mayfair hotel as the band. I last saw John in a BBC show at Edinburgh Castle in 2014 when he closed the evening in style with his fantastic 'Music'. Rest in Peace.

John Miles the most underrated musician in the UK. He was different class. So talented , could play any genre, Brilliant with Tina and Joe Cocker, he so deserved more recognition in the UK. I am and have always been a real john miles fan. His albums, rebel, stranger in the city and zaragon are still my favourites after all these years. So glad he made it big time with tina.....shame more people didnt make it happen for him on his own. So so talented. When you loose someone so young springs to mind. Havent felt like this since Freddie mercury passed. He was a a part of my life although i never met him. Lots of love to the family. An amazing musician. Truely truely special. Gods speed xxxxxx

What an underrated talent John was. Saw him several times in the 70s , always amazing. Great singer and songwriter and one of the UKs greatest guitarists, sadly unacknowledged. Should have been a superstar with the talents he had.

I never knew he was in Tina's band until a few years ago.. Had i known, i would have made a few concerts.. John also sang with early Alan Parsons Project, and Alan produced John's first album, Rebel. Check out "Music", "Highfly", "You Have It All", and "When You Lose Someone So Young".
