So sad your summer is over, went so fast!! Understand liking your students and co workers but you can just feel it's not the same. Hope you have a good year!! Thank you Rob for sending her out right!! Sears was so awesome back in the day, just don't see none of that anymore !! Looking at the catalog was like Christmas!! I remember mostly Walmart or actually Kmart, what we got was what we got, didn't even take us . But some new stuff. When I was young I always wanted a monkey, can't believe pawpaw got one. Heard they are crazy!! Looking forward to the next crockpot!!

We don’t have a grill to much trouble for us I want to thank you so much you have helped my family without knowing it my aunt who is 73 and move here to be near us 4 years ago.she had a heart attack and major open heart surgery last year but was also diagnosed with breast cancer in March this year. We were terrified for her we watched your video together and am happy to report she has only 6 days of radiation treatments left. She has panic attacks every time she has to leave the house. We did not know how we were going to get through this your video gave her hope and helped to ease her fears. So thank you from the bottom of my heart. We watch all of Morrow Hill now God bless you girl. We love you.

Now 2yrs later, I need a part-time job for finances & something viable to do, I can't do the stay at home thing. Sears used to be the big deal & everyone loved & bought from Sears. Happy 1st day of school 🏫 🎉

Tina! You are such an inspiration to all of us. You have just 2 years to retirement. You can do it. I bet you students are looking forward to seeing you. This might be the year you get that special child that you will make a difference to. My teacher Ms. Wolfe 7 th grade. With not much love and attention at home,Ms. Wolfe saw something in me and that star me on a different path. I felt like I had value for the first time in my life. My life has been amazing. My Dad was the Manager at Sears. EVERYTHING we had came from Sears! Everything!!! Great memories of going back to school shopping with my Mom and brothers. I understand how you feel Tina, being close to retirement. I am so ready. I work for the school system and have already put in my 30, but i added the 5 years of DROP. And then last year they changed DROP to 8 years, so i added the extra 3 😢. I’m a single parent of a disabled adult child, so i need the extra $$. But i am so so ready to be retired. This month Aug 24 would have been the end of my extra 5 years.

Good morning Tina and Rob. Thank You for sharing your memories! Made me think about my grandma taking my sister and I school shopping. She would get all dressed up and she would show up at my mom's at 6 am waking us up telling us we're going to the mall shopping. We would head out for the hour drive to the mall. We opened the mall and they were shutting the lights off as we were walking out of the mall. Every year my sister and I had a whole new wardrobe. The trunk was full and the back seat was full. My Mom was a single parent, working two jobs and my grandmother always bought all our school clothes. We lost my grandmother when I was 16 to breast cancer. She did fight a long 18 months. I sure miss her 💔 We always purchased most of our clothes from Sears. Have a wonderful day. Much love from our family to your family 💞

I’m pretty sure we would go to Hill’s Department store and put everything in lay-away ( is that even still a thing?) The hardest part was having to wait until that last payment was made but then it was like Christmas!!!😊 Though I did love getting new clothes, my favorite thing would have to be new school supplies!!! One thing that we didn’t buy new though was a pencil box. We used to go to the local drug store, where they sold cigars. They would give us the cigar boxes and to this day, I can still remember the sweet smell of them!!!🥰

Good evening Tina and Rob. Chicken herding was so cute with Tony helping, chickens trying to keep up or get ahead of Tina beating her to the feed bowl. Rob becoming a big star being in commercials for the bbq company. Hope you had a great first day back to school. I tease Rob about being in a company commercial as I was in a back to school commercial for Sears when I was in Grade 8 and didn't even know it. We had seen the cameras outside of the school and couldn't figure what are they filming, so 3 of us nonchalantly walked in front of them. Just before summer ended and they started showing the commercial and people were coming up to us saying did you see yourself in the commercial. Nope not for quite some time. Little did I know Sears would be a place of employment for 16.5 yrs working in the catalogue call center. Loved it. Thanks for sharing the stories and memories. HAGN.

Hi there Tina & Rob. How great you are so close to retire. My last year went by fast. We were lucky, we only had to get school clothing for school. It's a shame there is a list of specific school supplies each student has to come to school with. Including expensive uniforms. The government should fund all schools for the supplies. I have the same memory as Rob with the new school clothes. It was the 60's, so I always got a new pair of saddle shoes along with clothes. Mom would not let me wear them until school started. The clothes were neatly folded and laid on top of the box with the shoes. So every day I would go into her room, and admire my clothes and shoes and couldn't wait to wear them. Such a wonderful memory. Oh, and Tina, I also get attached to my cars and cry when I trade them in. hahaha I thought I was the only one. :)

One was awesome and one was abusive. I did not tolerate her long before I chose not to get on the bus. Stayed at school til my older sister got out and did life her way until we got home to chaos. Good afternoon Tina and Rob and Tony. I love your family stories. As for Real housewives tv show and your lives no comparison. You guys are real and are not stabbing your 'friends' in the back and being people that you are not. As many people that grew up with struggles living paycheck to paycheck you take those values into adulthood. I listened to Paw Paw about past family stories but never talked about the day before school with pugs. Yes Sears was our go to and I think it stopped here in Canada 🇨🇦 less than 10yrs ago. Wishbone was fabulous. Jami received an old replica Seats catalog dating if not mistaken 100yrs ago and yep the stuff you could by there. Also what I found interesting besides medicine for all ailments in one and the description for it could be half a page long. Anyway I hope your first day of school goes well. Have a fabulous rest of day 😎❤❤❤
