Cutting up the tights to make a top is such a classic punk/goth move. We've been doing it for decades lol 🖤 My tip for getting it to last longer is to invest in some fray check and put it on any of the edges, but it's still not going to last too long in that state.

For all those “turn your X into a Y” clothing hacks, it always seems like the original item of clothing is much larger than the model normally wears. I wear a womens M-L and I could do the first hack with a men’s XXL shirt. But buying a larger item spoils the viral effect.

yeah it's like for the items where you bought the wrong size or a gift that's wrong size. i wouldn't go and buy a large pantyhose to turn it into a top. 😂

@milkovinc pantyhose you would just buy your usual size unless very very tiny in the hips and butt and excessively massive in the chest. There's a huge stretchability to pantyhose, that even being a bit bigger in the bust than in the hips really wouldn't make a difference unless you ride exactly on the line of medium, like 2 bites of a celery stick might burst your hose at the seam. Otherwise nah over the hips or over the head roughly the same diff. And while I don't know about the pantyhose shirts, I do know you could rock a fishnet version of that top for a couple of months so long as you handwashed them.

🤔For the bracelet one, those long U-shaped pins that are used for buns would probably work great since they don’t have those nubs to worry about and are thin enough for even the smaller loops like your bracelet’s. Also, that pantyhose top ended up looking great on you (was just as surprised that it actually turned out well). Definitely need to give the bracelet & bangle ones a try.
