It amazes me how changing a few pieces here and there really elevated the look of the entire space. I love watching your creative thought process, then see the final reveal. That must be very rewarding!! I am gathering inspiration as this summer we will be updating our house in preparation for retirement. I would love some ideas on how to deal with wallpaper that is very difficult to remove. We are considering painting over it with an oil based primer, then do a skim coat to smooth the wall out. (The paper was put up by the previous owner, straight onto the sheet rock without any wall prep at all. it is NOT going anywhere!)

Nice job! Rug tip. If you roll it the opposite direction for a day or two in its new space, the side will lay better when you unroll it.

I thought the plant near the window/door and the lamp behind the chair made more sense. Since the plant could get the light and the light behind the chair fpr reading. Plus i think it would work better to have the table lamp on the left side and the small plant on the right. Like theres a mini version the big item on the opposit side. Just a thought.

What method ended up working for you w the wall painting? Did you dampen the brush often, spray water on the wall before/after, or just end up using the paint as is? Thanks! Looks great!!
