Option A! It’s a more tranquil and relaxing pattern which is perfect for a bedroom! I bet you could make a larger paint brush for the wall if you buy a push broom and twist the handle off of it :) Also, option B has a grid-like pattern that is similar to the beautiful dresser you diy-ed in this video. So the two walls of the room would have matching motifs. Not sure if that is something you want or not, but just something to think about.

Option a looks wayyy more soothing for a bedroom and it goes really well with the room

Option A. It seems to be a relaxing pattern. The other one would look good in a craft room with all the movement it offers. I love how good the dresser turned out. Great job.

Option B. I was all for the first one in the bedroom - more calming. However, after getting the dresser in, I think option B goes better with the dresser. It's more of a contrast which makes it more exciting. But to 'tone' down the excitement in the bedroom and make it more subtle, what do you think about using the same color as the walls but in a different finish. Like the difference between flat finish and gloss finish?
@jlammetje6 ай бұрын
gosh, yes! I was leaning towards option A, but option B in the same color but a different finish would be great!

Option A :) Also I’m a little late to the party so I’m not sure if someone already said this, but you can do the sawdust trick for wood filler to help match the color. Sawdust from the offcuts of your wood mixed in with wood glue or mixed into the wood filler helps camouflage the color difference. Beautiful projects!! 🤗

Hi Tina! I have found that using a pin nailer is a great way of attaching decorative trim to furniture. The hole is so small that you don’t have to put wood filler. You can just stain or paint over it. My pin nailer is my favorite investment! Thanks for the dresser inspiration! I have been looking to redo a Malm piece that I have too.

Option A but vary the density so there's a sense of fluid movement instead of the blurred x-blending of a limewash. It will give you a graphic quality, but not too much from far away. The malm upgrade looks great. Got me thinking of doing something similar.
@brittanymitchell92156 ай бұрын
You could always use a little nail at the top of each decorative piece, like near where the dresser meets the pedestal. It would ensure they stay put through moving and the nails would be in an area that will never be seen by anyone. Also, excellent DIY! So inspiring for my new space. I vote the large brush stroke wall paper. I love that subtle movement without any harsh negative space.

Oh wow Tina. I like option A!!! I really love this dresser that you did such a fantastic job redoing it, I also loved that other shorter table that I believe you could paint it a cool color and maybe make those shelves more sturdy and possibly replace the glass with some wood or something fun looking. I really always love watching your channel because you always do some awesome stuff that always inspires me to try doing something cool in my own house. Have a beautiful and blessed rest of your day, sending love and hugs, bye!! 😊🤗👍👍🙏💖💕💜💜

I prefer Option B--ironically I think it ended up looking less busy and more soothing and seems more "you"--but I'm floored you feel like we would know better than you! I get the indecisiveness (story of my life), but every time I think "Hmm, I don't know if that's gonna work" you knock it out of the park. Trust your gut! I'm always impressed by your intuition. This dresser, though! I knew it would turn out great, but WOW. It's a stunner and fits in the mood of the bedroom perfectly.

I would vote for the patterned designed over the brush strokes. I just think the brush strokes look sloppy. Although I think the pattern is a bit busy for a whole wall and a canvas might be better. The brush strokes would look better on a canvas over a whole wall too.

I love the outcome of the dresser. It's amazing how versatile and adaptable Ikea furniture is. You always make a piece so unique. As for the patterns I favor B, unlike the majority. A, reminds me of a scary Van Gogh painting, "Scream".

First thing I thought in the "before" was closed storage, and thanks to your clever IKEA hack, you have it! Are you going to hang the large mirror across from the windows, put your smaller art near the door, and hang your framed TV above the dresser? Can't wait to see the grand finale! 1 vote for pattern B.

I mix a little bit of the sawdust from what I cut in with wood glue, and I find that stains a little better! That’s basically what wood filler is, it’s just using the exact wood that you are trying to fill.

Hi Tina! 🙋🏻♀️ The dresser came out very nice!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 ❤️✨ Option A is more restful and serene. It would be my choice. Option B is busy and playful. It might be more serene if you lighten the color. You could try 2 or 3 paler shades. You could also try a paisley shape. Curved shapes are more serene than square corners Pick the one you love best because you will be living with it 😄✨ Love, Hugs & Sparkles! ❤️🫂✨

I luv it! That dresser looks so amazing. I’m so glad u decided to upgrade it from its plain state to a more modern upscale state. As for the walls wel my suggestion may be a little more tedious but I feel u should combine them using the feather stroke as the base and then the brush stroke on top. Good luck can’t wait to see what u decide to do.

I agree with another comment I read. I think you'll like option B for longer term then A. I think will make the room feel darker than you want it to. I think B is very clean and adds dimension to the room. It's like an art piece in itself. As for the wall by your door. I think you could do a few things with that. I think the main thing is think about what would feel the most functional to you. What came to mind for me is a stylish bench, a bookshelf or wall floating shelves, a catch all side table, a shoe organizer maybe a coffee bar. I think your mirror should be part of the art wall like flow into it. It's functional and intentional. If the TV could be hung on the wall too and have digital art on it when it isn't being used could be cool too. You could even make or get one of those TV frames.

Definitely option A Or the real wallpaper from option B And it seems like some squares need their sides stained as they are still the light wood color.
@sandieedward9936 ай бұрын
Love it, but make another by putting them side by side. It will give you more storage while giving it even more impacfulness for as long as it flows seamlessly it will look great..no opinion on wall choice their both good looking but 😮you've got the vision trust your gut ❤❤❤

@catarinabessel68746 ай бұрын
Option A! But maybe not so dense? A little more white space in between or what ever lighter color the base will be. You could also use an additional darker color to bring in some depth :) Option B looks good as well but I think it will be to much for a bedroom or for a big wall... plus you will be limited with art work to put up or decore items in general (to busy). I think it is more suited for a statemant wall, a stand alone thingy...
@JlNXED6 ай бұрын
I’ve seen some people save the sanded shavings and mix that with wood filler to help hide nail holes, worth a try. I like the Inspo for option a, I wonder if you used lime wash with some paint mixed in to saturate some spots more if it would give a similar effect I like the dresser design but it feels more yellow toned than the Inspo.

The dresser is fabulous - great job on that. It looks way better, more substantial, than the wicker one, although I love the other table, just not where you were using it. I would vote for option B. Not sure if you are keeping the basic wall color the same and just adding one of the effects on top or it you are doing a total accent wall. Anyways, I think B is kind of quirky and fun, but in a bedroom, would tone down the contrast between the wall color and the accent strokes a bit more than what was in the sample you did.

17:16 I feel like I’ve seen somewhere that when you match the wood filler, you need to match it to the final color, not the color of the wood currently. It’s worked for me for the most part. Also, you have to sand off all the excess filler until it’s smooth, so less is more so you don’t have to sand as much.
