I just noticed an interesting coincidence between Sarah and Faye Windass, besides the teen pregnancies: they both wanted to, or did, name their children after singers. Sarah wanted to name Bethany after Britney Spears(she ended up being Bethany Britney Platt) and Faye named her daughter Miley after Miley Cyrus.

I love they way, stories are put, of the parents are shocked of their teenager being pregnant & having underage sex to "we'll do all the lifting, as you need to go to school" Sorry, but in my opinion, they knew what they were giving up getting pregnant. I believe the writers should show what it's like having to GIVE UP school & all the teenage pleasures than having the parents just have to take on the role. Or do what Sarah-Lou was meant to do & give her baby up Then in real life, teenage pregnancies might not be so popular

Thanks for uploading these videos. I find the Allison storyline heartbreaking. Isn't it interesting that the first character to show her sympathy and compassion ever before Bethany was found is Sarah? Goes to show how much humanity and kindness teenagers can demonstrate.

The fact that mothers who have lost their baby in the womb have to share a ward with new mums and babies is awful. Same for new mums who had their baby die soon after birth. There has to be a better way of doing things.

Well there is now, depending where you live I suspect. In New Zealand it's seperate. This is the year 2000 though and UK plus it's TV. Looks more like a convent for wayward girls who have had children than a maternity unit....

She was too far gone in the pregnancy. Everyone at hospital called her a SLAPPER- not the nurses, but the other mothers, and she was even YOUNGER than Sarah !

I remember this, so heart breaking. A good storyline would be Sarah giving Alison the baby, and being involved then when she was older tell Bethany- or Emma as Alison wanted to name her, and the baby girl rebel
