I am so ashamed of my self to have discovered these musicologists so later in ma life they are amazing, each song makes you dance and clap, i am from India but love every bit of this sound and of words, i have no idea but they are tonic for your ears which are tired of loud sounds that people call music now a days , hope to see and meet these guys in person one Day. Insha Allah, only one word for them, Masha Allah

I m from Morocco. This music sounds to me, like the old story's my grand ma used to tell me stuffed with smoothly rocking rhythms I can visualize when the camel with huge loads of acacias to set up fence against chacals (coyotes of north africa) and his walk, or "à l'amble course" (light swaying run) enters the camp and let me hear her humming with joy to feed her baby!

The production of the recording in the rusting hulk of a ship is incredible. The short interview inserts that give more and more perspective and insight is beautifully scripted. The musicians of Tinariwen merit this kind of special thoughtfulness. Their music transports the listener. The messages expressed are powerful. I don't understand how their voices are not heard as much as they should be. Their role as keepers of the desert cannot be ignored.

we europeans also used to fight each other ... then we stopped to be too religious as well as too nationalist and learned democracy. One of the most important things muslims need to learn is this: in europe if you redicule Jesus or anything christian, nobody is going to kill you for it. Some might say you're an idiot but you would experience no violence. Second thing: the last and the only dictator in europe is in Belarus. The whole europe is enjoying a degree of democracy.
@amineessa95738 жыл бұрын
you are funny! ,you stopped fighting each others ! but you kept exporting your folly elsewhere , i don't have to list all your dirty wars, colonialisme , invasion plot against sovereign nations... Let just people live according to their values whatever unfair it looks to you.

You my friend have nailed it right. It is most unfortunate human nature has to be on a self destructive coarse all these years. People "with" taking advantage of others "without" for thousands of years until mother earth says enough and flicks us off her shoulder like a flea. Music is the only common denominator rational people from all over can agree on. I would love to travel all through out N Africa but I can not and it makes my heart sad for all the cultures I can not experience.
