Asian skincare has made me become obsessed with skincare. I’ve always had good skin until recently at age 42 I was experiencing chin nodules but using chemical exfoliant and acne cream has cleared it completely. My skin was getting dry from daily use of those products but the essence/toners have saved the day. I apply the toner/essences all over my face, neck and chest. I just ordered the Pyunkang black tea face cream to use at night time. Pyunkang is lovely….love their serums and toners as well.

While living in north Scotland in my 20s I used rose hip oil as my moisturizer and did oil cleansing and face steams with a hot towel to loosen dirt and cleanse instead of drying out with soap. I didn’t know much about Asian skincare then. My mistake was not using sunscreen as often as it was always dark and overcast; even if it’s not sunny you still need sunscreen 😅 In my late 30s, living in the tropics now, I use tretinoin .025%, may work up to .05%, and a rich night cream (currently using L’Occitane shea butter face cream), and sunscreen for day. I also want to include a peptide serum/cream and invest in a red light led mask. I’m also using the haru haru toner to which I sometimes add a drop of the ordinary’s lactic acid 10% to on tret-free nights.

Have to take into account- she’s east Asian, they have a layer of fat in their face, flatter faces, resulting in a more youthful baby face AND great for looks like dewyness which I think they tend to have naturally as well. Just don’t expect to look like them. It really suits them only honestly and them saying you can have it too just really seems disingenuous because they don’t really take their genetics as a big factor.

yes you are right that genes play a big factor which is true BUT the point of the video is that anyone can achieve dewy healthy skin, no matter the ethnicity. The video focuses on emulsions and how they help accentuate how moist your skin looks and feels. I would say you're discouraging anyone who's reading your comment that it ISN'T achievable to have good skin like her ONLY because of not having the genes for it. It is definitely possible and it takes time, and your skin will thank you for it.

I really glad that I started to do skincare since i was 16 y.o, and korean & japan skin care are more affordable so I can afford the basic like toner, serum, and moisturaizer. I don’t even have smile line even though I laugh a lot, small pores, and I used to have acne & oily skin and redness in cheeck area when I was young now it is normal, smooth, and calmer, I glad that the skin cares formula keep getter better and better.

I second the Nameraka Honpo lotion at 8:44. Fantastic. Some of my favourite lotions feel like water when I splash & tap them on my skin and others feel like slippery gel-water but unlike water (and heavy face moisturisers) they absorb quickly like magic and leave my skin feeling really comfortable and soft. Some lotions leave a horrible gluey, tacky feel on the skin, as if they just cannot absorb so just sit there as a horrible layer. They leave me wanting to wash my face almost immediately. Some have conspired to trigger horrible fungal acne/malassezia folliculitis (in tandem with other products for sure) and this condition makes skin look bumpy and rough and takes AGES to truly get rid of, which is truly distressing. Luckily, most of the skincare you showcase and discuss on your channel is affordably priced so I tend to do what you do, which is just fill a basket when shopping in Japan and experiment with them over time to see which one helps and which one leaves that gross, tacky layer on the skin that is almost resistant to being washed off entirely. Bleaurgh! Love your channel. I'm thrilled that borders are open and a sojourn to Japan will be on the cards for 2023! Happy New Year Tina and viewers!! 🎉🥳Love reading your comments and learning from your enthusiastic tips and horror stories alike. 💖

@@coffeenciggy If you can leave a nice long paragraph detailing your skin type and main concerns as well as the things you most dislike in your skincare I'd be only too happy to give you a list of great items to try out. Your rough age would be helpful too. PS=Fungal acne just isn't discussed often enough and yet so many people have it. I wonder if it originates somewhere in the gut and manifests in the largest organ in the body, which is the skin? Hmmm. It's a horrible, stubborn thing.

Could you tell me if the overall J&K beauty creams and serums also work towards slimming the face since that is a desired feature, as far as I understand? Thanks for the video.

I was living in Taiwan and at 7/11 they gave me Hada Labo as a prezzie. Hence a decade later I am still using it. I never was a fan of any plastic procedure. So, by accident I discovered this. Then when I was trying to figure out what I use I found your reviews which really helped me as I did not know what exactly I was using. My Taiwanese friend just said it's really good. But people like you can introduce so much for some people like me. I shared this video on my Facebook channel since I can see the difference. Ta, 🍯.

Been binge watching your vids these past few weeks and I cannot thank you enough for motivating me to pack on the hydration and moisture! I live in a humid country but since I'm in the hospital almost 24/7, the aircon can dry my skin out. Ever since ive incorporated a few more hydrating steps (i use 2 hydrating toners, 1 emulsion, 2 moisturizers, and a cica balm), my skin has never felt more plump and healthy! Thanks for giving me the low down on Muji skincare because I'm OBSESSED with their hydrating toner and emulsion!
